These rich Arabs are ruining the game. Taking all the transfer fees up to an even more obscene level. Greed and ego will ruin our game and one day a big club will implode. Same was said about These rich Russian oligarchs and These rich Americans. Abramovic was the root of all evil for a good number of years. I see the La Liga president having a go at Man City, fine, he was oddly quiet when Madrid outspent anyone in world football. Barca aren't exactly cheap either. Same way Rangers fans have a go,quickly forgetting when they could outspend most in Europe. It just goes in cycles, it'll be some other league or nationality of owner in a few years.

They didn't get rich by blowing billions on a football club! You are correct and neither did the Arabs and Russians? Fair point.

Top 6 if this Arab hands 2 or 3 hundred million quid to Benitez to spend on players.

It was great being in the PL league but the Championship is a far better more competitive exciting league. With proper fans and far more British players. Championship better ??? 🤣Sorry- but thats absolute fucking garbage. For all its sins if, you are not in the premier league- you are fucking nobodies. Plus saying that is, just a wierd and bitter form of coping strategy for fans of a football club that had it all then inexplicably, threw it all away. Something I find incredibly hard to forgive let alone, forget.

Something I find incredibly hard to forgive let alone, forget. Being a ‘somebody’ in the premier league, but scraping by to avoid being 4th least shit team, isn’t enjoyable. Ask Huddersfield fans what they preferred - their promotion season, where they were regularly winning games (sometimes comfortably), or that time when they won 12 games and scored just 50 times over 2 seasons, with a combined GD of -84. It’s an extreme example but to say the Premier League is more enjoyable, just because it has the big names, is utter shit. It obviously upsets you that we aren’t ‘somebodies’ any more, and it’s a shame you can no longer enjoy football unless we’re trundling along in the bottom half of the Premier League. I genuinely hope you come back some day, but if it’s only because we’re in the top division then it’s a sad shame that you attach such importance to the Premier League.

You can call it the Arab League instead of Premier League, this is really bad, money will destroy the joy of football. Even in Egypt a minister from Saudi Arabia bought a club and he is doing his best to destroy the league here.

Not really any more fire power than our current owners Coates family net worth - £3.1bn. BIn Zayed Group net worth - £150bn. Yeah, not much difference.

Yes the last report I saw said 5.2 billion but I thought I heard on the radio it was 6billion something but as you say it's not 150billion or any ware near! Wouldn't mind any of those amounts in my bank account to be honest though!

Besides which, Newcastle United with the backing of Arab billions would be a different animal and anyone expecting a club like Stoke - even with our backing - to compete with them would have to be a bit deranged.

Pugs I’m really becoming concerned, I’m agreeing with you more and more (bar comments about 1 individual). Please don’t anyone take offence, but for those who think the EFL is the place to be.......wake up, give your head a good wobble and have a strong cup of tea. If this doesn’t work seek professional help

It’s slightly ironic that in these ever more insular times with regard ‘foreigners’ the man in the street seems to have no issues whatsoever with regard their cherished football clubs being run by whatever overseas set up happens along.

There's plenty of countryside and coastal living space. The only restriction on NUFC is the ambition and quality of their management. Starting with Rafa, they have a head start.

Apart from an initial 'moral outrage', Joe Public realises he has little influence on who runs his football club. He has more chance (ie by voting) of influencing who runs his local Council than the football club. To be honest, if you had ploughed £30m into a club, how would you respond to 'men in the street' trying to judge you? Again you probably don't know who owns the businesses that produce the food you eat, the clothes you wear and the company for whom you work - and probably don't care as long as you can afford the goods and get paid - so why is the football club different?

It’s an oft quoted belief that football isn’t ‘ like any other other business’ . It’s not worth going into but there is an underlying hypocrisy going on that doesn’t bear close examination. Bottom line is that it is terrible for the future of the game as a whole in this country if decisions about its future are directly influenced by parties all over the globe who have no interest other than their own little investment.

Name me one owner in the history of football that wasn't interested in anything other than their own investment. There are good owners and bad owners, whether foreign or British.
