Graham Parker - The Mona Lisa's Sister
Holy crap, I had completely forgot about this one. Was going through my old vinyl to see which ones I needed to replace with a CD (yep, still buy CDs, streaming has too much loss for my taste). What a great album.
Bruce Hornsby - The Way It Is
Same as above.

Lamb lies down on Broadway-Genesis. Not a massive fan but that album one of my faves.

One eyed jacks- spear of destiny, listened to it last week for probably the first time in 30 years.
Still remembered most of the words.

Best Years of our lives by Cockney Rebel doesn't get the credit it richly deserves.

Psychocandy by Jesus and Mary Chain. Like nothing I'd ever heard before. Or since for that matter. A young Bobby Gillespie on drum. Wonder what happened to him!

Pelican West - Haircut 100, great singles but the whole album is mint. No one ever seemed to bother with the whole thing much.
Lexicon of Love ABC perhaps treated similarly. Great album.

One of my favourite 80's tracks, Heartland, is on Infected. A real indictment of Thatcher's Britain and the sell out to America.

Saw The Pogues on that tour. Absolute mayhem. One of my all time favourite gigs. Real pity Shane fucked himself up. Last time I saw them was at V a few years ago. Wished I hadn't. It was awful.

View AttachmentHow did it get nicked during a house move? Don’t you mean you just lost it... We were loading the car up and had stuff piled up outside. Went in for a cuppa and some thieving pikey nicked the records and box of tools.....bastards. We were living in Campbell Avenue Leek at the time and were moving down to Devon. Opposite us lived a crack head and his girl friend who we suspected as the thieves but could never prove it. The record collection included many Queen, Bowie, Beatles, Monty Python and many one offs from Moody Blues, Fleetwood MAC, Hawkwind and others. Probably worth a few Bob these days.
