eng now in to 7/4 from 9/4 looks very promising, everybody has been raving about our batting but our bowlers have showed they are up with the best and our fielding is superb so imo batting England rank 1st
bowling England 1st
fielding England 1st
so all that means we should all lump on at 7/4 but as an England fan only bet what you can afford to lose

Was tempted get one of the England World Cup shirts as quite smart and retro but there averaging £60 a pop & dont know if I'd wear it enough times to justify the spends..

Bloody good try by Afghanistan today, enjoyed them smacking the ball about, they've won a lot of fans there.

Should be a great competition. Just hope the nerves don’t get the better of us. Some very strong teams in the competition. Crickets always on a knife edge as you’re only one batting collapse or inspired Braithewaite type innings away from being knocked out. I do think we have the strongest team though there’s not much in it. For me any of the following are capable of winning it Australia India New Zealand West Indies and of course us. I have a sneaky feeling the Aussies will do it with the 3 banned players back. Hope I’m wrong.

Shock on the cards ?
Bangladesh are currently 177 for 2 with 21.4 overs left against SA
Edit 330-6 after 50 overs - good effort. Let's see what SA can do now.

I think Bangladesh have been in good form for a little while now in this format, at least consistently competitive anyway.

Listening go the BBC radio coverage whilst doing jobs in the garden and watching the highlights later in the evening. Hopefully "Cheatstralia" will continue to get stick wherever they go. Justin Langer thought that they got some unfair treatment at Southampton. Wait until you get you Edgbaston lads. You will get fearsome treatment from the Eric Hollies Stand. Looking forward go our game tomorrow against Pakistan. Has Bangladesh victory against The Proteas taken some of the "shine" off our win against them?

We won by 100+ runs. Also, Bangladesh are a really solid and competent side, don't underestimate them when we face them.

Am I the only one who found the scheduling so harsh on SA? Playing the second game on a used pitch against a team with decent spinners like Bangladesh. Why is it on a used pitch already? They have many injuries and steyn is due back in a couple of days but when they start their 3rd game India starts their 1st, how is that fair? It should have been India playing Bangladesh on a used pitch but they would never allow that.

Trent Bridge is the definition of a road, surprised we didn't bat first and aim for a high 370-400 score.

Pakistan on course for a fairly big score here - currently 270-3 with 8.3 overs remaining.

England need 349 to win. It looks like a good batting wicket but I don't think they have bowled very well today and the fielding has been quite sloppy.

Must be a good chance that England don't qualify for the Semis
Australia, India, New Zealand and 1 other?
Does anybody know why some teams have played 2 games and others are yet to play (e.g. India)?

Trent Bridge is the definition of a road, surprised we didn't bat first and aim for a high 370-400 score. Said the same, almost a touch of arrogance to suggest whatever they post we can just chase. But the West Indies have just ripped through their batting unit and smashed their bowling unit all over the show, so why not bat first, post a huge total and apply more pressure?

On the positive side, we're most likely to lose one game in the tournament. And better to get it out of the way early in the tournament rather than in the knock out stage.
That said - we haven't lost this one yet.
So, cmon Mo. England needs you to deliver with the bat.

38 needed from 3 overs - I don't think so

Ok - we haven't lost this one yet. So, cmon Mo. England needs you to deliver with the bat. 6 wins should see us through. Puts a bit of pressure on early doors but they need to get used to that. The bowling attack still concerns me though.....

Moeen gone and Archer in.
Might be a blessing he’s struggling to put bat on ball....
