Tony, we're in the early stages of assembling a squad, so we really don't know what we'll have come August. I'm pretty sure most Norwich fans didn't expect to win the League, even after last season started. Look to keep in touch with the Top 6 and anything could happen. Alas, Norwich didn't really know what they had in their squad at the start of the season, while we will know all too well for the most part it seems. You never know for sure I guess. Am not seeing where the "bolt from the blue" is coming from, be it attitude, tactics, the emergence of key players... Thus far, based on departure of Allen, arrival of Gregory and Powell, while keeping a MF of Etebo, Clucas, Woods and Maclean - and Afobe - and no loans - can't see much past 55 goals and a very mid-table team at best. Early days, though.

F*** me Tony, why is Afobe going to double his goal output- itβs taken Jimmy Greaves the second 40 games to score 8 including 2 penalties and you think he will get 8 in 25- you are certainly optimistic. I just woke up to find a pile of white dust around my nostrils! What happened there?! Have you been baking? πππ

I expect all the Rowett signings to stay, we can't shift them for what we paid, and no one will match their wages, which is also why the big clear out won't and never does happen! Sad but I fear it's true. What a mess this club has created. I have this sinking feeling we are going to be like Leeds, years in the wilderness.

What an absolutely unmitigated disaster of an appointment he turned out to be.

Comfortably one of the worst strikers Iβve ever seen play football.
Heβs up there with Michael Ricketts when we had him on loan and you felt the ground shake whenever he moved a leg.

I could handle him being shit if he actually put a shift in - he doesn't look arsed what-so-ever.
The mind boggles.
Maybe NJ sees him as a back-up to Vokes?
We're gonna have to bring in some brilliant midfielders to create absolute clear cut chances for these strikers at this rate.

If we're inking in Vokes, Afobe and Gregory as 3 of the 4 strikers in the (supposedly tight squad of) 20, maybe it'll boil down to Campbell or a new man as the fourth option? If not Campbell, surely we do need a bit of pace up there as the other striker in the group? Weβve been saying βsurely we need paceβ for the best part of a decade. It isnβt happening π€£ That will be rectified by the signing of Shane Long....

Has anyone actually asked Afobe if he wants to stay at Stoke? Because only at very few splits of moments has he looked like he wanted to all season.
So I'm not so sure Jones is doing him never mind us a favour?

Fortunately Iβve never seen the infamous Scott play. Keith Scott was bad - in a different league of bad to anyone currently on the books. Except perhaps Wimmer. Very true, but we got Sheron for him. In todays football that would be like Wimmer going to Chelsea and we get Alonso in return. Mental bit of business. In reality we would be lucky to swap Wimmer for a white dog turd on Alsager Towns pitch. H

We've had some fucking shockers over the years, to say he's the worst is a pure exaggeration. He's a bit toss, is more accurate.

46 games x 2 frontment =Β equivalent of 92 "opportunities" (i.e. full games) up for grabs.... Assuming Vokes as first pick and other opps shared... Vokes 15 goals in 40 Gregory 12 goals in 27 Afobe 8 goals in 25 1/2 way to the play offs Now we definitely need a goalscoring midfielder and probably a goal scoring centre half Nick Powell (free) - 7 in 35 Michael Morrison (free) 5 in 35 = 47 Etebo, Clucas, Edwards, Batth, Shawx, JJ to chip in a total of 15 = 62 goals With a superior defensive record, we are heading for about 10th-13th. If on the other hand, we don't have a goal scoring midfielder and CH, its more than 55 goals and 12-15th. Certainly not promotion either way

He's had an underwhelming season to say the least, but I'm going to try and take a more positive stance on this one.
Strikers are absolutely, 100% confidence players. The service he's had hasn't been very good at all this season, granted he has missed some sitters along the way.
Maybe in a system alongside a Vokes/Gregory strike partner, an attacking midfielder playing in the hole and full backs who have a license to get forward and put a decent ball in, he'll start netting and get his confidence up.
He was still our top scorer this season, although I guess someone had to be..

Me and Mr Jones agree 'again', this guy is right up my street. What an appointment this guy is π
It's most definatly a confidence issue imo brought on through lack of good quality service as I've said myself, watch benny kafobe go next season when the chances are coming thick and fast

So bojan will go. Afobe will stay. Badou will be welcomed back. Next release will be a new contract for McLean with Williams arriving as our first summer signing Of course it will.
