Macron haven't been as bad as I'd thought they be in terms of design or quality but I do have a kind of superstitious thing going on with them that things went downhill when we hooked up with Macron..
& in the process followed in the footsteps of Villa who also got relegated with Macron kits! Palace had a lucky escape wearing Macron one season and haven't looked back since they changed to Puma!

I've got a theory. The fact that there's been no leaks about ours, combined with the more-frequent-and-generous than normal flash sales, makes me think that we could have a new supplier in the wings (despite Macron being under contract for at least another 1-2 years). By now, I'm sure we've had a proper reveal combined with an announcement that the team will wear the new kit for the final game of the season. So either it's a new kit supplier and the decks are being cleared in readiness for the summer - or it'll be a masterstoke by the club* in surprise-launching a new kit. * Cough, splutter. Considering they've been spamming me with offers of £10 shirts makes me wonder if they've got a new one. Same thing happened when I bought mine a few years back. Clearing stock perhaps?

Just think they don't want to be saddled with a fucktonne of stock that would fill Delilahs like they did a few years back.

They did a massive one in one of the suites in the main stand once too when they tried to get rid of a load of Le Coq Sportif tat.

Who ever makes the kit from now on, I just hope we stick to how the sponsor name is now, instead of a bloody big block in the middle of the shirt!!!

Give me anyone but Macron or give me death. Macron’s kits and training gear get better each season, there’s a lot of snobbery about brands in football but we get a bespoke deal, and they replenish stock well unlike Adidas and New Balance who were shocking.... I really like this years purple gear, proper trendy stuff for an old lad 🤣

Yeah but did you see the NB kit design we had! And designs since for Liverpool. Miles better than the macron kits.

Home and away kits were absolutely superb. I've still got a never worn original replica of this home shirt in its Umbro packaging. & a player worn away top in the pale blue! Stoke & Umbro could produce an exact replica of this to sell now, they'd fly out the shop.

Proper top, proper badge, what's not to like. Would love to see a retro design kit for next season.

Rhetorical question and something I sometimes wonder.
If you don't buy a shirt today would you buy one if it didn't have an enormous plastic oblong with the sponsors name gummed on the front ?
And is the reason we don't offer a non sponsored shirt that the sponsors wouldn't allow it or it that commercial departments of all clubs think no one (except me) would buy one?
Buy the 72 shirt I hear you say, it looks good but it's not in a modern breathable fabric you'd actually want to do sport in these days.

Considering they've been spamming me with offers of £10 shirts makes me wonder if they've got a new one. Same thing happened when I bought mine a few years back. Clearing stock perhaps? My thoughts exactly. The discounts have been earlier, more drastic and targeted on different items each time. There's a bit more thought gone into it this year, rather than the "Everything Must Go" in the last couple of weeks of April approach of previous years. I don't mind Macron's stuff. It's largely been pretty good in terms of design and quality - certainly no worse than some of Adidas or Puma's. I honestly think some folks get seduced by certain brands and think putting the Stoke badge on a "big name" branded item is a marriage made in heaven. Some of Adidas' stuff was pure lazy in terms of design, and quality-wise no better than "lesser" brands like LCS or Macron. Some of Puma's stuff was hit and miss too. New Balance seemed to strike the right mix of design and good materials - like the old days of ASICS - who were also a "proper" sports brand and not distracted by street fashion. I think NB seem to be heading that way though unfortunately - I notice more of their stuff in Sports Direct advertising at the minute.

I hate their sizing though, because an equivalent Adidas or Nike would fit me fine.
Or maybe I'm just a delusional fat bastard

That FC Edmonton white away kit would suit us as a home shirt with red pin stripes! 🤗😉😂 Could you imagine the powers that be doing this to us, there would be genuine uproar! Pin stripes are BAD news! 84\85, 89\90. No thanks 😎

It's a bloody football kit at the end of the day. No matter what design we bring out suddenly are a load of fashonistas claiming that they'll never wear it and will buy a retro one and how our kit manufacturers are awful etc etc....two years down the line will be...who remembers that same great kit from a few years back when we had Macron or Adidas or whatever.
Strange how a football shirt can bring adults into fits of luvvie behaviour and the collar is this or the sponsor logo is that darling....don't bloody buy it then . It's a football shirt- I hated that bloody awful yellow one so guess what, didn't have one, no need to turn into a diva about the thing.
Rant over- hope the away one is black though :-)

Stoke would drop macron like a brick if they had a better offer on the table so hopefully they will have More likely scenario is that Macron will drop Stoke at the end of the five year deal and our crack CEO will negotiate a deal with kappa for half the money.

The kids dont have them at present because its not allowed to put a gambling sponsor on childrens shirts

However I feel like a clown wearing a shirt with a giant logo gummed on the front though and so I end up buying just the shorts. Oh we,maybe it's just me!
