It'll either be Cambridge or Oxford.

They should have it between the best boating sides, but instead it's Oxbridge.

It's the only race I can watch all the way through where 5 minutes later I've forgotten who won.

I didn't watch it today but I usually nod off after about 10 minutes of all the pre-race interviews, and then wake up just after the race has finished. Was Clare Balding presenting it again ?

It would be much better if the line up wasn't a list of olympic rowers, blatantly recruited by Oxford or Cambridge for the boat race, but a bunch of normal under grads who's main experience of rivers is bridge jumping and chucking trolleys in them

It is without doubt the dullest sporting event going. It would only get my interest if they gave each boat a slow leak and filled the racing section of the river with crocs and sharks.

I mean, is this still a televised event in 2021? Get a load of other teams involved like Stoke Spitfires or whatever involved then I might be interested. It should be a 20 boat race in the style of Road Rash!

they should have a guest team to liven it up. perhaps a celeb team of the likes of Robin Askwith, Chris 'Lukewarm' Biggins and the bloke who played Reg Hollis in The Bill.

Must admit that I thought it was an April Fools joke when I read on Thursday that the race this year was to take place on The Great Ouse at Ely.

Must admit that I thought it was an April Fools joke when I read on Thursday that the race this year was to take place on The Great Ouse at Ely. It was held there once before, in 1944 apparently, it's probably due to being close to Cambridge and a long, straight stretch of water wide enough to take two boats.
