Never been a big Western fan, never seen a spaghetti western, did enjoy High Plains Drifter (but probably more for the supernatural element) but I'm sure enjoying this off the Sky box.
Really good movie!

I never liked the old traditional westerns with John Wayne or any of that era of actor (Robert Mitchum, Jack Pallance, Alan Ladd etc). I really liked the spaghetti westerns and any of the Clint Eastwood films. I haven't seen the 2007 version of 3.10 to Yuma but I'll probably give it a go having seen that trailer.

Really good movie! The early 2000's were a fertile period for Christian Bale,he's great in '3:10 to...' and the Batman films, but was equally fantstic in the less comercially successful Harsh Times and The Machinist. As regards westerns,The Good The Bad And The Ugly is the yardstick I measure everything else against.Once Upon A Time In The West is a close second, the characterizations in it are brilliant.

Blazing saddles and A fistful of travellers cheques are probably the best westerns out there.

True Grit 2010. Bone Tomahawk (2015). Hostiles (2017). Hostiles (2017) is fucking fantastic.

The originals were great, too. High Noon is a cracking film as well.

Preferred Carry On Cowboy Marshall P Nut certainly cleaned up that town This got me thinking about western films and the fairer sex, I can't remember meeting a laydee that liked to watch them, my Dad loved a western, books and films, but my mum never bothered with them, could be just my experience tho. I'll give this a go, it'll have to be good to surpass Tombstone tho, one of my favourite films.

She only liked the Western films he was in, hated the war ones.
