www.stokecityfc.com/news/gareth-jenningsAs much as the academy has been slated long term (rightfully so), since Jennings' arrival in 2016 we've seen Edwards, Campbell, Souttar, Sorensen, Ngoy all make strides towards the first team. Replacement seems absolutely crucial, because finally after a long long time we may actually have a "class" of players to graduate from the academy into the starting XI.

Wow. Bit of a step up. It's now good we have Paul Hart here. Probably too crucial to the first team picture but he is steeped in youth development and must have enough contacts to recommend.

I wish him well in his new role. He has obviously impressed someone.
We have a decent length of time to advertise and sound out a quality replacement.

On the face of it things certainly seem to have improved a little during his tenure.

The next appointment is massive.
The Academy is finally bearing fruits particularly between the 14-18 age group where we've got some potential gems at the club.....

One big difference now is we are a Championship side and not Premier league. So we should expect more opportunities for academy players. Lets hope that some of them can make it at Stoke

Which role would he take at FIFA exactly? Sorry for my ignorance but I thought they were administrative people primarily.

Sorry but I am no wiser from that job description. What exactly will he doing on a typical work day? Leading, technically. Will he be supervising the education of coaches, perhaps? Not everyone who coaches know how to coach as we have seen. Is his a desk job or will he work out in the field?
