True but it always helps being funded by Chinese multi billionaires.
Quick search says they're worth £60bn, that's gotta dwarf the Coates's.

Trouble for them is the bar is now set. We had 10 years of if, they haven't had one yet.
If they aren't higher than 7th next year the fans will start having a quiet moan. After that the moans get louder and the novelty wears off.

Cant stand Wolves Their fans think they'll qualify for Europe next season
Abit like us, they'll have their moment in the Prem for a few seasons then slip back down
There's only seven teams that will remain Prem teams for the next 10/15 years, the rest just visit for a few seasons

Never liked the fuckers from the late 70's. Went their place when i was 16 when there was really no separation in the South Bank, fighting back and forth throughout the game. We decided to leave 10 mins from the end before it kicked off big time, got outside the ground, some inbred fucker had his hand around my neck and fist ready to punch me in the face with about 20 chav's of his day behind him, those with me legged it(bunch of cunts and not the usual lads i went away with) , so it was give them my scarf(my older brothers scarf he never knew i'd took with me) or have the shit kicked out of me. So where the Whieldon bus was parked up to take us to Uttoxter i see this fucker with a Wolves hat on and chased the fucker down and nicked his hat, somE old twat on the bus who knew me Dad(A Derby fan) saw what happened, told me Dad and me Dad tried stopping me from going away games,

They will have a huge job replacing Nuno when Chelsea make him an offer he cannot refuse.

Wolves financial backing is now in the Man City & Chelsea echelons without question, that's certainly gotta help as has their more recent recruitment policy.. & whilst the Nuno appointment was leftfield & has clearly paid them dividends, their previous appointments of Walter Zenga & previous to that Dean Saunders most certainly weren't! Dislike Wolves with a passion but do have to concede they are the dog that's right now having its day!

Threw out the rule book Got rid of stagnant dyed in the wool ceo and management team and went left field Fair dues they do look the real deal Remember when Blackpool under Karl Oyston were a breath of fresh air coming into the premier league. Or when Hull were, with Phil Brown at the helm. What about when Aston Villa were on the cusp of breaking into the top 4 and becoming the next big team? Wolves are undeniably on an up right now, and they're undeniably doing well. There's a lot of time to go before this spell can truly be judged as a success in Wolves history.

I can't agree Wolves, like us and many others, have their share of knuckle draggers but they are a proper football club and even if it is through gritted teeth I wish them well in the semi final

What I think they need to do is, strongly look at their recruitment process. It’s shocking, if only they could buy a player for £10 million and sell the same player, two weeks later for £12 million.
The players they have a are crap, they need a Mr Cartwright recruitment process to sort them out

Let's see if if they manage a decade in the Premier League and a Cup Final appearance. They're not in any danger of going down anytime soon and they've got a 50% chance of reaching the Cup Final. Hopefully Watford will stuff 'em but it's anyone's game.

We must avoid a similar time in the wilderness like them! A spell in League 1 was the making of Wolves, Leicester and Southampton. Back to winning games after a losing culture although having ambitious owners helped too.

Fair play to the bloke above who thought the thread was about a film review. "Wolves in the Wilderness" really does sound like one of those tundra documentaries that seem these days to clutter up the TV schedules. *Earnest, slightly breathless, sub-standard Attenborough voiceover*: "The prospects for this struggling football club are bleak. Unless its senior team can find a way to score goals and in particular to start signing players who give a ****. And quickly. Then it could be decades of anonymity, frustration and disappointment. Scores, if not hundreds, of its followers (many on the Oatcake) may not survive the chill, barren, nuclear winter. Some may be forced to contemplate the ultimate sacrifice - by ****** off up the Vale".
