I read the qualities you used to describe the present day Bojan and I can only conclude that this is a romance that is going on in your imagination. When will this fantasy come to an end? He was blown away today and looked nowhere near the Bojan of old. Very sad but his cruel injuries took their toll and you need to come to grips with reality! He played another 10 minutes today, so that makes 10 minutes in the last 9 games, that's right, he's played a total of 10 minutes out of a possible 810 and in that time Stoke have scored a total of 4 goals. That's the reality. The most important people he has to convince are his managers and if you think ten minutes is all the time he has you are deeply mistaken. Look at what Verlinden did in his initial ten minutes today! The things you think that Bojan is capable of are product of the things he conjured up before his serious injury. It was magic but magic he is not able sadly to conjure up. He trains and works regularly with the first team squad and has not commanded any attention from our last three managers as well as in the squads of teams he has been in loan at. The Championship is a hard combatitive physical league not fitted to his style and physique. Surely a line will be drawn this summer if not after today and room will be created to bring in the types of players that will enable us to become a team that will score goals!

Knock knock, is anybody in? All we are saying is why not give Bojan a chance to prove himself and save the club millions by giving him a decent run in the team? Other much less gifted players have been afforded this privilege, so why not Bojan? Why aren’t you (others) starting threads and asking the same about Bauer? IMHO Bauer isn’t and never was a decent defender. I’ve (me) never said anything differently. PS. The original post is about Bojan

If he goes to the MLS, a non league team in Spain or Portugal this summer please go with him. However likeable or not Bojan is the “love in” is becoming really tedious. He’s earned a bloody good living from SCFC, all the very best but goodbye Knock knock, is anybody in? All we are saying is why not give Bojan a chance to prove himself and save the club millions by giving him a decent run in the team? Other much less gifted players have been afforded this privilege, so why not Bojan? Knock Knock, is anybody in. Bojan is not up to the level (mentally or phyisically) we require in the Championship. Let the dream go!!

Verlinden was excellent today and very promising but he had more minutes in one game than Bojan has had in the last 9 games. We really don't know if Bojan is suited to the rigors of the Championship until we see with our own eyes? Why are people so eager to belittle our most naturally gifted footballer?

Absolutely love your 3rd point, especially “until we see with our own eyes” 1. We have, and he isn’t up to the overall requirements of the Championship and; 2. Those who are paid professionally seem to agree with the opinions of what appears to be a majority of supporters No one is belittling what Bojan was, or may have been. Professional and every man and his dog opinions seem to reflect reality.

We really haven't Pin my post and if Bojan is still in the squad next season and plays 20 full games barring injury I’ll donate £50 to the Dougy Mac We really haven’t seen with our own eyes. Bojan needs a run of five or six starts, and then maybe we would know. The manager has allowed us to see that Ince and McLean are not really up to it from their many starts. We are so incredibly poor in terms of creativity at the moment, it is criminal that he is not giving Bojan the same chance to succeed or fail. There is now nothing at stake, and no excuse not to give the one class creative player left on the books a proper final chance to show what he can or cannot do. And that doesn’t mean ten minutes every few weeks.

He isn't playing because the last four managers think he isn't good enough?

Bojan, whether he is good bad or ugly does not improve this team. He is not the answer, will not figure next year in Jones moving forward, so please stop the lovefest over him it really is embarrasing .Never believed the hype FROM stoke fans about him(no matter how talented he maybe), and can only recall him showing up on an handful of games, but the games he did not show up easily out weigh the times he did.

Bojan came on today for about 10-15 minutes. Completely anonymous, no impact, easily dispossessed and created jack.
He needs to go.

Hughes stopped playing him and sent him out on loan. 2 or 3 clubs did he go? None of them played him. Rowett said it’s a clean slate, yet didn’t play him! Jones comes in and offers everyone a clean slate and doesn’t play him. Maybe just maybe these managers see more of Bojan than us and they can see he either isn’t pulling his weight in training or he just isn’t offering anything. Yeh could be but why then did they not let him leave in January when we had chance. Because nobody matched stoke’s valuation of him If some team had come up with the right amount of money he’d have been fired out of the door faster than you can blink Why should stoke give him away

Stoke probably would have let him go if his fan club went with him instead of using his departure as a weapon in words and anger against the manager after every time stoke didn't win afterwards.
He'll be gone at the end of the season though without doubt.

You're the problem He's had 60 minutes in about half a year. And looked good, not great but good. He will look loads better with minutes. We are god damn dire and have zero creation. I think you should get your facts right. He has played nearly 6 hours of football (352 minutes).Bojan needs to make an impression when he gets the chance, and give Jones a decision to make.Verlinden made a real impression in 80 minutes of game time, and has made it difficult for Jones to leave him out.The reason Bojan isn't playing is down to Bojan, not Jones.

This is just more of the same.

If he will not figure in 'Jones moving forward' could you possibly explain why Jones himself insisted he was 'pivotal to their plans'? Tell fans one thing and do another and you're putting yourself under enormous pressure results wise, why bother?

At no point have I belittled Bojan's career at Stoke City! Tell me:- 1. Does Bojan have any pace? 2. How athletic would you say Bojan is? 3. How strong would you consider Bojan to be? 4. What physical size does Bojan have? 5. What physical damage has this player experienced in his career? 6. What technical skills has this player recently demonstrated in recent games? 7. How prolific has Bojan been in creating or scoring goals in his career? 8. How well does Bojan fit into the team shape that the manager is trying to play? 9. How well suited do you think Bojan is to the British game? 10. How many players do you know that have successfully made a comeback from criuciate ligament damage in their careers never mind two lots? Sadly Bojan is nowhere near the player he was when he arrived and I honestly feel there are many managers who admire him for what he was but not many would sign him now!

Continually gave the ball away when he came on yesterday. The 'tackle' he made when he found himself defending at left back was abysmal. My 9 month old grandson shows more strength. Brilliant at one time not now I am afraid.

I have read this thread and am still in the Bojan camp.
I agree he did nothing yesterday, I know he lacks physicality, can't hold the ball, not fast, etc.
I know he doesn't suit most modern managers' style of play who want high tempo, pressing game, forwards helping defence, etc. and football in England is very physical.
BUT
I watched him closely at Hull, when he was our best player for 60 minutes. He did not have much competition that day. Vokes was very rusty (and missed a penalty), Indi was poor at LB (he's improved), Clucas was dire (and hasn't improved). McClean was all huff and puff, 110% effort and no product (- he will never get us promoted), Edwards was trying to do too much and be too clever (he has improved a lot), Ince and Afobe came on after the hour and were totally disinterested, as though they had decided the match was lost at 0-2. Nevertheless Bojan made some excellent moves and created openings which the current crop of players are incapable of.
My argument is: Why isn't Bojan at least given a chance of a few games? He seems to be treated so unfairly. Other players play badly and get picked again to put it right, Ince every week, McClean has 1 good game in 3 and if he does get dropped he is soon back in. Bojan is carrying the curse of being "another managers' player, not one of mine". It took him time to get going in his first season and Hughes persisted with him and it paid off.
At least give the guy a chance.
