All 4 through, so at least England did something about avoiding European exits this week...
Good performance (had ours and theirs on multiscreens), bar a sticky 20 min period first half.
Manes first goal was excellent
Still think Manc Blue will win it, they are excellent
Wonder how Uefa will manage to fix up 2 all English ties in the QF....

Liverpool have become a bit of a dilemma for me. I have a natural urge to want them to fail, but I have to admit I do quite like the Spastic Nazi

Fucking hate the bastards. Glad they won though, they'd have an advantage in the league if they'd have gone out. We all know Klopp bottles finals, so I'd be more than happy for them to not win the league and lose in the final of the Champions League

No such thing as a good win for the victims.

A few years ago when English teams spent a few seasons struggling to get a quarter finalist at all it was deemed proof of how shit the Premier league is. So now is this proof it is after all the best league in the world? No of course it isn't. The notion of the 'best league in the world' didn't really become a thing until Sky started showing serie a. Then when they ditched that to get the all new and shiny premier league rights then the prem miraculously became the best league in the bloody world.
There's no such thing as the best league in the world. Just different leagues with different styles. Remember that when the skyboys start getting all joyful about this.

Yep They’ve now got no interest in la liga when last season it was sometimes headline news, they now think we’ve got an interest in MLS It’s bollicks mate, it’s either news or it’s not and not just what they cover

The BBC are no stranger to this too, whatever they have the rights for is the thing they promote like crazy. One day they’ll lose the rights to Wimbledon and it’ll be like it never existed. We’ll be left watching women’s rugby.

There's no such thing as the best league in the world. Just different leagues with different styles. Remember that when the skyboys start getting all joyful about this. League Division 1 was routinely described as the strongest in the world long before the PL or Sky. Or even colour TV for that matter. That was quite possibly a reflection of the insularity of the English game (and indeed society itself), because there was no evidence for such a claim. However, and notwithstanding the fact that Man Utd didn't win the European Cup until 1968, I think there was some substance to the suggestion that it was stronger in depth, and more competitive than any other. Off the top of my head I reckon at least 8 teams won the League between say 1967 and 1982. Blimey, we came within a couple of wins in 1975.

Great win for Liverpool, but they still won't get the amount of coverage that the shit get!

They've got Porto in the quarters so I fully expect them to win that. United have got Barca. I don't mind kloppers and I hope Liverpool win the whole thing and the Prem.

You 'hope' they win the champions league and the league title? Other than having a Liverpool shirt at the back of your wardrobe why would you hope that happens??
