Blackburn at home to Wigan tonight, a home win and they leapfrog us, pushing us out of the coveted 16th place. Until tomorrow night at least. It's all coming nicely to the boil!

Yes, the battle for the Championship's 16th place is pretty special. That's why this season is my favourite Stoke season out of all those in the past 10 months.

I don’t know what I enjoy more, the battle for 16th in the championship or getting raked across the testicles with a cactus.

Yes,I'm glad we willfully sacrificed the cup competitions this season to enable a full on assault for 15th/16th. Priorities,Priorities...

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humour! Have you not witnessed the goings on at this club over the last few years. Our club has been falling apart at the seams and top club decisions have tested us even further. I am over the moon with the approach of Nathan Jones since he came to the club. I am 100% convinced that better times lie ahead and this will be achieved by every player "battling" for every point in order for other fans from other clubs to start to realise we are back on the up again and if it starts in eighteenth, seventeenth or even sixteenth so be it!

Unlike the Prem I think the prize money is the same wherever you finish in this league so it's all about pride.

You should always set your sights higher than your expectations. We should certainly be looking at 15th as a possibility, and then if we can make 15th why not 14th. Anything is possible in this league.

I think Gods has been very bold here in his original post. By identifying 16th place in the Championship as an achievable objective this season he has clearly defined our new ambition for the season. Much better therefore than the vague early season statements of intent for "Automatic Promotion" or "A Play Off Place", we now have an unambiguous challenge to play for. If we can achieve this goal it will actually represent our highest finish in the Championship since season 2007/2008. I think that if we all get behind "the team" as it should now be known we can really start to enjoy and celebrate the run in to the end of the season. Do eet!

I quite fancy aiming for 20th if possible it’s just a more rounded number than 16

Shows how tough this division is.
17 th is poor, we must strive for improvement and the giddy heights of 15th. 🤪
