Madness.
How big of a player was Harvey Barnes for them? seems his return to Leicester has coincided with their "poor" form.

Behave As much as I don’t think there’s any racism in the decision it’s a shame when there’s such a clamour for BME managers that one who seemingly does well in his first job is sacked so unfairly and abruptly

West Bromwich's fans don't seem to be disappointed.
As mad as it looks from the outside only those that watch week in week out can truly know how fair or unfair it is

Only lost 3 on the road though, which is a record to be envied in a playoff situation. Depends how many you draw. Rowett only lost three away games (even now Stoke only lost 5 away games). Their home form been poor through for a proper top 6 team. It will be the reason they don't finish top 2 when you look at how strong Leeds and Norwich are on home turf. Won 10/18 on the road, I reckon you’d had to go back a very very long time to find out last 10 wins away from home never mind this season. They were in contention until they lost those two six pointers to Leeds and Sheffield United. Time will tell I guess, but timing seems odd.

I am astonished at this incomprehensible decision. If his appointment at the end of last season had been made, say, six weeks earlier, it is probable that the Baggies would have escaped relegation. Their football, based on what I saw when we played them earlier is entertaining and based on a quick passing game. O.K. they have had some defensive wobbles, but who do they think is going to be a better manager? Presumably the owners must have someone in mind to replace him but for the life of me, I cannot think who this might be. Drawing at home to Ipswich was not a good result for them but they are where they are on merit over the season so far and still have a good chance of promotion by the play offs. I bet the fans are really pissed off with this.

From the outside-in, it looks a strange decision and even stranger timing.
Having said that, I wonder what I'd think if it were a Stoke manager that I knew wasn't likely to be here next season; perhaps I would be calling for the 'new man' to come in now and work with the squad before the Summer?

West Bromwich's fans don't seem to be disappointed. As mad as it looks from the outside only those that watch week in week out can truly know how fair or unfair it is True. I've not really followed them this season but a quick glance at their message board tonight seems to show supporters were very much split on him (some of the more critical comments below) "Thanks to Darren Moore for his efforts. I am just so disappointed because he’s had ample opportunities to learn but we are just getting worse."
"I feel sorry for Moore but he should never have been offered the post in the first place. The club have made the right decision, we were getting worse week by week as teams found out our weakness's and nothing was done to correct it. Home form is relegation form."
"Based on wanting to get back up it’s the right decision for me. We had next to no chance in the play offs the way we have been playing"
"I was probably his biggest critic and I'm not smirking, or celebrating. I'm relieved, and hopeful the club can get the right replacement."
"Jenkins has made mistakes previously but he has got this so right. Shame that's all links cut with big Dave now but we need to move on our next appointment is arguably the biggest and most important in the last 10 years if not more."
"Let’s be honest bar the Villa game we have been second best in every game we’ve played from the Rotherham game which was the week before Christmas. With the level of quality in this squad that’s poor and it was only getting worse"
"Love Darren the man, but honestly, this team is going nowhere under his stewardship."
"Totally the right decision we have got worse and Moore / Jones are not learning from there mistakes. Today was embarrassing to watch and did you see how many fans left on 80 minutes. Shame he's gone but the correct outcome."

"There have also been allegations of recent friction between Moore's assistant, Graeme Jones, and sporting and technical director Luke Dowling over Albion's January transfer business. It is understood Jones has agreed to take over at Luton Town in the summer, raising doubts internally over his commitment."
Good old Stoke City, shafting West Brom since 1989.

How about a shock appointment of Mark Hughes? That would be a decision on par with the sacking of Moore. Minus and minus is plus... i think Hughes thinks he's too good for this division whoever the club and probably lstill comfortable on his payoffs

Having seen every one of the home games and a few of the away games I can understand why the axe has fallen on an Albion legend. His wonderful abilities of getting the club to pull together and stand proud again, was sadly not enough to keep him in a job. Since Christmas the home games have been painful to watch, the performances have been getting steadily worse, and tactically WBA have been found out.
Leaving the ground today, I and the guys who watch the games with me, could not see how Morro could turn thing round.
I salute him - Big Dave will always be an hero!!

Football has been totally corrupted by money.
Players stamping on fellow professionals.
Managers sacked for losing a few home games.
Owners cheating on spending rules.
Corrupt administrators holding World Cups in Russia and Middle East dictatorships.
This will all come to a sorry end.

Fans like to complain that players have no loyalty to their clubs. But as long as you have owners like the WBA dickheads who don't think twice about humiliating and treating a club legend so unfairly, you can't really fault the players.
