Wtf, what would they consider acceptable performance? Top 2 obviously with what they have in the squad. They were only a couple of points off top 2 few weeks back but since then lost dismally at Leeds and were also poor at home to Sheffield United. They have only won 7 games out of 18 at home. Stoke have won 8 home games so again that says something. Guess they have no confidence he'd win them the play offs with how they're performing so they'll role the dice on short term impact from someone. Have to say it feels like a Big Sam role especially as he's from that part of the world (Dudley born although think his family were Wolves fans).

That is absolute crap, we would give our left and right too only be 4th and he has lost his job over it..... it’s particularly shitty as to how well he has done since taking over in his first proper gig as a manager Much more going on here behind the scenes Something must have happened behind the scenes. This can’t just be results based.

Proper shock this is.
Something must have happened behind the scenes to justify this...

Proper shock this is. Something must have happened behind the scenes to justify this... I doubt it. Think it's purely results based. 3 weeks ago they were only 2-3 points off top 2 (and with their squad you can't say that overachievement as it's better than what Norwich and Sheffield put out) yet are now way adrift. They lost 4-0 at Leeds last week and could've easily lost 1-4 at home to Ispwich today. Paul Lambert's Ipswich. If you lost faith in your manager getting you promoted would you let things drift or do something about it rather than having to pick up the pieces in the summer? Reality is now majority of teams deal in the short term and this is a short term gamble.

After the disaster of last season, if he had rocked up at Stoke and got us to the position he has managed at WBA we would be absolutely over the moon, wouldn't we?

Weird decision unless there is a manager lined up and a new manager bounce is expected - for a final push for promotion. Wonder if the players will buy in? I hope not. After how well he’s done for them I hope this massively backfires on them. Just shows - loyalty feel absolutely jack shit nowadays

Well I think that rules out any 'behind the scenes' rumours then. He's been sacked on results and their recent run.

Their home form been poor through for a proper top 6 team. It will be the reason they don't finish top 2 when you look at how strong Leeds and Norwich are on home turf.

Personally I would have kept him a new manager has no time to turn it around and their play off spot is not secure so if it is the play offs the best chance is with the guy who assembled the squad. Equally his job spec would not have been the play offs and he was allowed to keep most of his squad and was reasonably well backed.

Seemed like a genuine nice guy who is responsible for turning the fortunes of the club around. Clubs like this can't expect any loyalty.

Jokanovic very good pick up for anyone at this level.
Got Fulham and Watford up from this level and would probably stick around and build for next season if they don't make it this year.

How about a shock appointment of Mark Hughes? That would be a decision on par with the sacking of Moore. Minus and minus is plus...
