So to summarise, you went in the 70’s when we were good, came back under Macari when we were good then returned under Hughes when we were good..... not by choice more by circumstance and opportunity probably a bit like i worked for three successful companies (worked for four in my lifetime so far) the other three folded after i left i dont know why like i say its just circumstance! this is down to my son now anyway not me the club should have perhaps tried harder to keep the youth. Only messing fella, you do what you need to do it’s absolutely your choice. Not sure the club could do anymore to attract youth though, I doubt there’s a club in the country that do more in terms of affordable tickets, free strips etc.

10 years of relative success is bound to cause a change in supporter expectations, but I don't think in reality we're any worse than other club's fans when it comes to moaning. Leeds were a shambles of a club before Bielsa turned them around, and from what my mates tell me it was virtually the same as Stoke this year. Same when I sat in the Forest end this year when we played there. A couple of boo boys, fan favourites....ridiculous bias. I don't think this is a new phenomenon either, I remember Bjarni getting some absolutely dire abuse from fans back in the day. It might be slightly enhanced as I said because of the last 10 years, but I don't think it's been a seismic shift by any means. I think thats just the way football in this country is going. Fans are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with their teams. And to answer Op, I'm not renewing but thats only because i'll be at uni next year, if i wasn't id definitely be renewing. I feel like us fans have a duty to get behind the team as much as its the duty for a player to play. I think the support our fanbase has shown this season for the team has been embarrassing. I think its our fault that the disconnection between the club and fans has become so significant.

I’ll be renewing, because as bad as it has been in the past two years, nothing beats my journey in from Nottingham, getting to my seat, meeting my mates from back home (only time I really do these days) and just the optimism of having 90 minutes to play out in front of me. Now it has been mostly shite for the last 3 years, but nothing beats that feeling. I go regularly to my second love, Ice Hockey in the form of the Nottingham Panthers and as invested as I am in it, nothing beats the feeling of Stoke scoring or winning. It’s the only place I get said feeling and likely ever will.

The older I get, the less patience I have. I'm going to end up getting into trouble because some of our supporters are really pissing me off. My son is also a major factor as to why I'm not renewing. Have you thought of changing seats? too change seats you would have to have one in the first place! imo the op is not a s/t holder he just doesn't want anyone else to have one.

I’ve renewed after a meeting with the “war office “
She was very Clear on what life would be like at home on Saturdays so I’ve signed on for another year in the footballing equivalent of the French foreign legion a sparse , rewardless and miserable existence but even then slightly better than the alternative .

I've supported Stoke City since 1973. In all them years they never came to see me when I was bad. Thank you very much.

I'm not renewing coz I'm sick of wankers on here telling me it's the fans fault that our players are a bunch of useless tossers. Now it's our fault people aren't renewing.
If it's my fault they are shit I've decided I'll do my bit to help and not bother at all

Cracks me up when I read 'have we been lost forever as season ticket holders? ' Probably not if we get back in the Premier League mate.

I've renewed because: 1. I'd miss having a few beers with my mates before & after the match 2. I hate shopping 3. I've supported Stoke all my life, so there's no point in stopping now 4. I think Nathan Jones is a top bloke & he'll turn it around eventually 5. One day sense will prevail & Scholes & Cartwright will get booted out 6. My knees can still manage the climb up & down the Boothen End

After 20 years it’s with a heavy heart that I won’t be renewing.
Like others I feel disillusioned with the way the club has been run over the last few years but the main reason is that my son has moved up an age group in cricket which means his net session has moved from 9am to 11am. As we live in Bristol that means we simply won’t be able to get there in time so basically won’t be able to attend Saturday matches from January onwards. Family & work commitments mean I haven’t been able to get to midweek fixtures for the last few years anyway so financially it just doesn’t make sense anymore

I’ll still follow the club I’m not jumping ship to anyone else, Stoke born and bread 👍🏻

The past few years have been abysmal, and I can’t blame anyone for jacking it in. It’s their right to do so obviously. I’m wired up to completely dismiss what I’ve been witnessing and simply go with the barely credible “I have a feeling next season will be loads better.” That’s where I’m at now. Happens every year. Every so often I’m right. Like I will be this time.

Yep I can here them now “I had one for 10 years between 2008-2018 only stopping due to other circumstances which were also around in 2007” I didn’t jump on the Premier league wagon when we went up and sometimes there’s more important things that dictate whether you can afford to go or not during your life. I understand to some Stoke is ‘their’ thing and others of us make up the numbers. My lad ‘has lost interest in Stoke because he’s bored shitless with it like many around him’ he hasn’t lost interest in football though if anything he’s become bored with the glitz and glamour of the Prem etc and favours his own grass roots football which for me is great as I allow him to make his own decisions based around football. Hopefully he makes something of it but if not he knows he needs to stay grounded and learn a trade etc he won’t just come running back he might not ever return to stoke but let’s not pillar his decision right now and I’m not ‘making’ him go just for the fucking sake of it!

I’m renewing, I watched them in the third tier. However I’m not enjoying the match experience as much, but I live in hope that this will improve over the next few months. The main reason I’m renewing is that I buy two season tickets on w for me and one for my son who now lives in London. The season ticket means I and his mum get to see him on most home matches .....

I’m renewing but I’m also going wait until the last minute just in case I die or turn gay before the deadline. Either of which I wouldn’t be attending. Not that gay people don’t attend but if it were to happen to me in such a short space of time then I would probably spend my weekends in a confused state!

I never saw him play, but his brother Brendan played for my local junior team over here and was pretty good. He's doing alright, he was Player of the Year last season and rightfully so, he's suffered a bit this year from Panthers bringing in some bigger names with more European or AHL experience. Nottingham currently have Chris Stewart with them, who has played 600+ NHL games so he's struggling a bit for Ice time, he's off the powerplay too so fewer goal opportunities. Brendan's obviously a better player but he's having a difficult season with Chicago this year too, only got 6 points or so I think. Still 22 though so lots of time. I'd like to see Brett stay, he's a nice lad (met him a couple of times at the arena) and look out for him at the World Championships this year helping Great Britain against Canada!

I'm renewing. The club has been through much worse than this in my 42 years as a supporter.
Next season will see us promoted. Make no mistake.
We have absolutely fantastic owners and a manager with the grit, determination and will power to send us to the top again.
