Honestly we could still have a late push, i didn’t realise until checking the league table just that we are only 10 points away, we win our next 5 games and that easily goes to 5 points at the lowest. Problem is consistency, hopefully the players turn it on for the last games and gets us playing

It's amazing what one win will do.

It's amazing what one win will do. well tbf just stating facts, and like I said it’s about being consistent? These players are good enough, just a certain few can’t be arsed

These players are good enough, just a certain few can’t be arsed That's the thing though, not once this season have we been consistent and I'm sure after the Leeds game some were saying it was the turning point, and after the Derby game. Im not saying we couldn't make the play offs, but it's going to take an absolutely massive turn of form for it to happen. Personally I can't see it, but it would be nice.

It usually takes a points total in the mid-70s for the play offs. We'd have to win pretty much every game.
There's more chance of you waking up tomorrow morning to find your penis has turned into a hot air balloon.

We would need to win at least 9 of our remaining games to make the play offs
Too ten with a positive goal difference is a realistic target.

It’s now all about confidence imo. String together 3-4 more good performances with wins and that could be the springboard for a late push. However, as we’ve seen a couple of times this season, one swallow doesn’t make a summer and the likelihood is that we will stutter through the last quarter of the season with some solid performances finishing top half of championship.

If we could get promoted this season, and we can’t, we would be absolutely murdered in the Premier League with this team plus new additions, it looks light years away from the likes of Crystal Palace, Wolves and even bloody Brighton. Very sad but very true. We’re not light years from some of the better teams in the league, but as said, there’s just no consistency to our results.

We have won about 2 in 12 or something we are not getting anywhere close to the play offs this season
Build some consistency for next season is what we should be looking for

On the bright side I think if we beat Reading we can safely plan for another season in the championship and leave others to the crocodiles. after all that’s as close as the top 6 and always remember the old adage , no situation is so bad stoke city can’t make it worse .😉

Never any balance on here is there, had we lost the thread would of been relegation !!!
For the purpose of the thread, you can only beat what is in front of you however consensus is that it was the worst performance in weeks from Forest.
We are where we are, it was promising that's for sure but jeez keep off the dust pal.

Is it even theoretically possible, even if we also win the remaining eleven games?
It would be fantastic though if the last game of the season meant: we to the play offs or Sheffield Utd automatically promoted.

Especially if Bristol City should lose their form we'd have a real possibility to get to the play-offs. Our biggest problem is though that we'd have to totally turn our fortunes and start winning... and that doesn't sound too realistic to me.

I wouldn't want us to get in the playoffs this season tbh. I would but just for the extra money the club would get. In every other aspect it'd be too soon.
