We are improving slowly but we are still improving. Sadly too slowly for our dimwit supporters. Only a short time ago our defence was leaking like a sieve but now we are remaining in games and draws are better than losses. We obviously declined to get relegated but we are certainly no longer declining! Nathan Jones will be a great manager for this club given time and transfer windows to bring better players into the club. At the present moment he is having to manage players tied into lucrative contracts who are neither good enough or fit enough! We've won 1 in 11 in the Champuonship and goals have become a thing of the past I'd hate to see us when we are getting worse then! How many lost? And by how many goals? As I clearly stated "draws are better than losing" On top of these slightly improved scores we are trying to play offensively instead of just trying to be defensive with a poor defence. Jones has come in and quickly decided that certain players are just not fit enough, fast enough or good enough. His hands are tied with which players he can play because of the principles he likes to apply. I am willing to give this man the time he deserves!

He’s playing great for Fleetwood Town, now read that again. That’s his level. he's going to be too good for us soon then, the rate at which we are declining. Very true

He looked fine against Nottingham Forest in the cup. Agree. Good on the ball and also in the air. And looks good at spotting the danger, Higginbotham style. Yes he's slow but plenty of successful defenders without pace. He's doing well in the division below us at 20. I'm keen to see him play for Stoke.

He looked fine against Nottingham Forest in the cup. did you go for a drink before the game You quite clearly did! He struggled first half in a back 3 but so did Williams & Bruno. Second half we switched to a back 4 & Souttar looked composed, read the game well, brought the ball out from the back well and was a big part in the fight back that could saido actually head a ball on goal, would’ve seen us take the game to extra time.

Because no one any good has gone out on loan when they are 19/20 Fucking hell who came back for us ? Steve Bould Also 'slow' and 'will never make it's along with 'fucking useless' Andy Wilkinson is another. Could name a 100 non Stoke examples. Young players generally benefit from a loan or two.

Looking at the Fleetwood team sheet young Harry is in exulted company: Eastham; Sheron and Biggins all in their squad...and they said Waddo's team was "Dad's army" What I've seen of Souttar suggests he may well develop into a decent CB for us...time will tell

seen him a few times mate last time was at forest away he was a liability. if you have ever seen him play you would think the same. I would not write off a 20 year old lad after seeing him "a few times mate". I remember many were writing off Steve Bould after his first half dozen games.

Getting rave reviews at Fleetwood and even has his own song.Barton says he hasn't missed a beat since he got here and has been exceptional. Maybe isn't the useless lump some on here were claiming. No mate, he's wank. The oatcake experts have spoken.

If he was any good would he be on loan? Harry Kane was on loan at 3 different clubs so he must have been proper wank by your logic.

Yes, I was one of the many I'm ashamed to say. He looked proper wank. Like Bambi on Ice. I seem to remember being in the home end when he played full back at Forest up against John Robertson and the little fat fucker ran him ragged and we lost 5-0. I think.

He’s slow...yeah I forgot how good our defence was when we had those speed merchants Faye and Huth playing for us. If a centre back is having to run, he’s made a mistake in the first place to paraphrase Paolo Maldini. Souttar should be pushing for the first team next year alongside the experienced head of Baath. People seriously need to revaluate their understanding of the Leagues, too much snobbery regarding players in those leagues when those types have been shitting on us all season.

Why anybody would want any of our young players around this cesspit at the moment is beyond me.
Let them develop elsewhere, away from this mess of a club and the toxic atmosphere oozing from the stands. They don't need that pressure this early on.
They can come back in the summer when NJ has culled some of the bellends.

Under Jones that has declined to 1.38. Rowett's run rate of points per game was piss poor but would not have got us relegated. Jones current run rate shows a decline to less than one point per game and is relegation form. It is - as you say - early days and its not his squad. However the same could have been said for Lambert last season - who in league position terms took over a worse situation - however precious little patience was afforded to him.

Lambert was given a clear brief in all fairness though, to keep us up or be on his way. With a bit more adventure in certain games under Lambert we’d have stayed up and the plight of Huddersfield this season makes my blood boil as it’s firm proof we were a better side that went down deservedly a for sheer lack of effort. Jones has been asked to change the entire nature of the club, rather than just keep us up, a much less discrete and clear cut objective which is reflected in the contract he has been given and the rhetoric he is coming out with.
