Not defending him but has nobody on here ever been done for drink driving and did they get the sack (I do understand if your job requires a license) but come on he aint the first to be done (if he is convicted)

He can be a right pillock and a pain in the arse but I wouldn’t sack him, sell him yes and get a few million in the bank. Who in their right mind would by him ?

But do you think anyone is going to give us that kind of fee? He's sitting on a contract that'll be paying him approaching £2m-a-year until the summer of 2022. I'd doubt he'd get any interest from the Championship, let alone anyone who could get near that kind of contract. So, unless the sacking route opens up, or we give him a huge pay-off, we're stuck with him

If they're going to be seeking legal advice about sacking this waste of space, they should throw Mark Cartwright's name into the hat while they're there. Enough. The clearout should be starting now and go right to the top.

I see the discipline has been installed by another stoke manager! What..?! Jones has to go home with Bera, shadow his every move..?? Can't lay any blame on Jones for this.

This does. And he was suppose to be playing/training that day. But it’s only stoke city, we won’t do fuck all.

Stoke City did not comment on Berahino's arrest but it is understood he will be dealt with internally under the Championship club's disciplinary policy

What you cant expect is for the manager to shadow all the players in case they go out on a bender

Oh dear...do we not train on Mondays? Sounds like this is a very sensationalised story but he shouldn't be out anywhere at 3am in London on a Monday morning if we train on Mondays! I believe Mondays are the players day off, since they, cough, work on Saturdays. EDIT; Although if he was named in the U-23s that obviously wouldn't apply. As for Berahino, it would seem he not only drunk drove, drove at high speeds, but also tried to run/drive away from the police until they were able to stop him. That's three offences all in one go. Couldn't the courts do us a favour and lock him up for a long time? And into the bargain relieve us of berahinosgoals who would be without his guiding star...

“Dealt with internally”
Under that same policy that allowed the same player to continually arrive late to training and just pay a late fee?
I’m sure that’ll teach him.
He’s a valve, sack him.

(U23’s) whilst he’s apparently excused because of “sickness”. If true, not looking a strong case for the defence?

Apparently we haven't followed the correct disciplinary procedures that involves informing the PFA of his previous conduct.

He’s saying he was fleeing from a gang that stole his watch? The wanker is always late so obviously has no need for a watch. More proof of the ill discipline within the squad. It’s beyond a fucking joke.

So if this is all true why are people saying we shouldn't sack him? 2m quid a year for another 3 1/2 years is 7 million in the bank, who in the right mind is going to pay us anywhere near that? His form has improved over this season but he seems to be nothing but trouble, I would get rid if we can.

Am I right in thinking that if this is proven, Berahino could actually be liable to give some of that cost back to us? I remember when Adrian Mutu tested positive for cocaine, Chelsea sued him for the remaining £13.5 million on his contract. And won the case in the courts, although I believe Mutu declared himself bankrupt.
