Mmmmm. What are they hiding? Why don't they want you know who is funding them? Perhaps a little perusal of their registered interests and memberships may give you a clue?

Actually, the Labour government of that time is wrongly chastised in my opinion. Ultimately, their big fuck up was the Iraq war....

Interestingly enough, all seven of them increased their majorities under the Corbyn led manifesto last time. They should of course resign and stand in a by election but I suspect their collective cowardice will prevent that.

The Grauniad is reporting that Labour's deputy leader Tom Watson has said "plenty more" MP's will leave unless Labour makes "radical changes" in it's approach to antisemitism. He fully expects more MP's will leave "in the next few days".
The paper is also reporting that a number of Labour MP's have been deliberately "left behind today" and will leave in a steady stream over the next few days to "maximise the damage on Corbyn". It says up to 30 MP's are still deliberating when (in some cases if) to jump ship.
Anna Soubry and a couple of other Tories are also expected to leave this week to join TIG.

Probably much easier to reform the Labour party than the EU

Another way to delay Brexit? Funny how all this is happening now, isn't it? Personally, I would like a choice between Tory and what Jezza offers. At least it is a stark choice. If Chuka isn't happy, there is always the sandal wearers.

They were apparently going to announce the split on the 14th Feb just before the last votes on Brexit but decided to wait till today for what they call "maximum impact". Don't think they'll go anywhere near Cable and Co.

One thing Chuka did say that I actually agree with (can't really believe that I agree with anything he says) is that "politics is broken". The whole thing is a complete and utter shambles. Where we go from here to restore credibility, trust and authority I just don't know right now. None of the parties, factions, groups, call them what you will, are really fit to govern, or capable of governing. IMO I would say that the Tories are currently just about the "least worst" of the options.

In fairness didn't he say he didn't like the EU but thought the current situation should involve saying in the single market and reforming from within? That's why he wasn't very active in campaigning during the referendum. I thought he was actually fairly decent during it, in terms of keeping to his belief.

All self serving tossers. They talk about politics being broken, they're part of the problem. They're not getting their own way so instead of staying and fighting.
Chuka is spineless, knew he wouldn't win the leadership vote a few years ago so withdrew and now he gets to be de-facto leader of his own party.

Comparisons with the SDP are inevitable.
And this new mob don't compare favourably with the Class of '81. And that's putting it mildly. Also remember how that ended up. This Magnificent 7 will reset the bar for what constitutes a damp squib.
What a state we are in.
The Government is an utter shambles.
The Opposition is an utter shambles
And now...
The Rebels are an utter shambles.
And don't get me started on our beloved football team or the top order batting in the England test side.
You have to laugh!

It's interesting, the supposition. It's crossed my mind that this is being orchestrated to get rid of Corbyn because legitimately with the membership and the unions the PLP can't do it. The worst leader in the history of the Labour party and they're stuck with him. Parallels with Venezuala
