Massive parallels with us.
Sacked Bruce and brought in Smith to play a more progressive style in the mould of his much lauded Brentford team. Things aren’t really going as planned though, the question is will he get the time to turn it around?
He’s had much longer than Jones and despite some snippets of good form they appear to have hit a brick wall.
One thing is certain, like Jones he hasn’t become a bad manager overnight.
Patience, a pre-season and a transfer window are what’s required.....

It’s a results business. It’ll be alright they’ve got us next week. That’ll buy him some time

Another parallel, Villa’s defence has more leaks than the Titanic.

Change Smith and Villa for Jones and Stoke and it’s exactly the same argument......

Farke would have been hounded out by now here. Hes had two full pre-seasons. 14th in his first season with 15 wins in the Championship and scoring for fun now and a shoo in to go up.
That's the size of the task Jones has and I don't think many on here have the balls for it to be honest.

And, quite honestly, so what?
We'll just have the usual wankstain / rimmer ranks drawn up once more.
The absolutely key question is though: do the board?

I'd rather finish just above the relegation zone next year, stick with him and his philosophy, watch him rebuild and really buy into what he wants to do here rather than keep sacking managers. It might hopefully scare of the doom and gloomers who start a new NJ moan thread every 5 minutes when the guys only been here 7 games. I'm nailing my colours to the mast, if I end up with the metaphorical egg on my face then so be it.

I'm sure we will do our very best to help ease the pressure on Dean Smith next week

Looking their crowds post-Premier League I’m guessing 6,000 season ticket holders didn’t desert them in their hour of need either, I’m going to stick my neck on the line and say they haven’t received 11 years of frozen prices plus free away travel either.....

Stoke is a much poorer area than norwich. People will drop off quick when the football is shit.

Stoke is a much poorer area than norwich. People will drop off quick when the football is shit. Which is reflected in the season ticket prices. I have no doubt fans will have to make tough decisions due to finances and as I’ve said many times if people have financial or personal reasons for not going then that’s completely understandable. But let’s cut to the chase there will be plenty not renewing simply because we’re not in the Premier League and we haven’t made an instant return. And again that’s their business, still doesn’t mean it sits right though.....

Norwich Crowds 2016/17 1st season down 8th Neil/Irvine Highest 27,107 Lowest 25,275 Ave 26,355 2017/18 2nd Season 14th Farke Highest 27,100 Lowest 24,841 I think they kept a very reasonable support considering.

Forest and Derby are also getting decent crowds and have more season card holders than us despite being out of the top flight for 12 years(Derby) and 20 years (Forest) respectively.

Young enough to have an affinity with the younger fans but old enough to have a decent rapport with the more senior fans. He's been given time and he's not out of his depth. H

H Darren Moore has also done very well and Graham Potter is also doing relatively well given the goings on at Swansea since he arrived

When I took over Doncaster and got them promoted the owners were praising me to the skies . Two years later we were relegated and they wasted no time in blaming it all on me and showing me the door
I started at Southampton by getting relegated , but the owners said they believed in me and thought as I was the best man two turn it around . Two years later , we were promoted and winning an FA Cup final at Wembley in an absolutely fantastic day for the club .
