I cant take anything this piece of cheating, cowardly, low life scum says about anything seriously. he's vermin irrespective of colour Fortunately I can’t take anyone who posts such hate-filled, vitriolic, comments like yours seriously. Irrespective of colour. Plainly - you have never watched him play football he should shut up -go away and hide

respectfully disagree - if he was anything of a sportsman - you know - try to play the game to the rules
with grace and sportsmanship - Id actually Listen to him
Right now hes just your common or garden 'worst of a kind' conniving, diving, cheating, cynical feining injury to get his fellow professional football players sent off ;- premier league player
With no idea how lucky he is - to be, what he is
a very, very, lucky and immensely wealthy young man
and
I have never liked cheats - in any walk of life
I despise him and his ilk - as I said - irrespective of colour

Rascism should not need the likes of him to complain about it
rascist chanting or gesturing ?
bring off the teams and massively fine the guilty and/or, award the game to the innocent parties
not hard is it ?

yes a cheat a coward and, a diver
(he might even be a nice lad but on the football pitch, he's all of the above)
AND TO FINISH THIS ONE - since my first match in 1970 I cannot honestly recall another player being substituted by his own manager - for his truly despicable behaviour and perhaps more,
for his own good

And him being a diver or a bit of a dick on the pitch doesn’t negate his view on racism as a black footballer who’s been subjected to it more than once. Some things are more important than football.

Fortunately I can’t take anyone who posts such hate-filled, vitriolic, comments like yours seriously. Irrespective of colour. Plainly - you have never watched him play football he should shut up -go away and hide Well as a matter of fact I have - for Sunderland and Tottenham, where I had the misfortune to sit just behind an unpleasant , inebriated Stoke supporter who repeatedly and tiresomely abused Rose from start to finish rather in the manner of your own comments. As unpleasant as Rose’s manner on the pitch was it was far preferable to that of the tosser whose imbecilic , obsessional ranting I, and others round him, had to listen to. By the way, back to the subject of this thread - his manner of play and attitude on the pitch are irrelevant to his observations on racism. It’s not, in my opinion, alright to condone or ignore racist abuse if it’s directed at someone you don’t happen to like. If you consider yourself well qualified to asses someone’s character maybe you should give us a break and apply your own advice to yourself.

What a can of worms that will open up. We've already seen a team walk off this weekend claiming racist abuse in a game they were losing. We've seen 2 players wrongly accused of racist comments on the field lately.

No I didn't suggest that. I suggested that teams walking off the pitch and the points being awarded to them won't work. Was interested to see Ian Wright jumping on the bandwagon yet again when Tony Meola reported him for racial abuse and it was completely ignored. Those individuals responsible should be punished as in any walk of life. That's what I suggest.

I live in Yorkshire and i am surrounded by Leeds fans. Danny Rose and his father are well known in these parts. Danny played for Leeds and his father is an"active" Leeds fan to put it politely. It is no wonder that the lad is damaged goods. His father is not an ideal role model. His behaviour on the pitch probably comes from learned behaviour from his ball bag of a father. Any other horrible personal traits that Danny has boils down to him being a horrible cheating, self pittying little cunt. The bastard deserves everything that he recieves from opposing fans.

I don't like Rose for a lot of the above reasons, but racism is wrong. I gave him stick for being a cheat, but as I was sat too far away, he wouldn't of heard me. Racism, on the other hand is wrong!

Simple question: What is more important?
Whether or not Danny Rose is a cheat on a football pitch?
OR
Racist abuse directed towards black footballers at British football matches.
Its staggering (but sadly not surprising) to come on here and find that about 50% of those who posted on this thread seem to think its the first of these is the most important.
Its then not surprising that we are now seeing a very worrying increase in racist incidents in British football.

After seeing photos of him doing the exact same thing during games I'd have given him the benefit of the doubt too. Please explain why. At the very least I would expect him to be asked to appreciate why putting fingers across the top of your lips and holding your arm straight out in front of you may be deemed offensive and racist and never to do it again. This should be stated publicly. As a teacher I have had to explain this to children on several occasions but they can now say they are copying Hennessy. Surely it depends on the context, if he's shouting and gesturing like he does on a football pitch then there's no harm in it, we can't just go around not waving incase people take it the wrong way, if it was just the photo and nothing else then it would be hard to defend, but it does seem its the way he gets peoples attention given other photos from when he's playing which is why I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Every football fan and player gets abused on a constant basis but where do you draw the line?.
An ex West Brom player playing at Wolves will get untold shit abuse thrown at him do they walk off the pitch and make a stand or just shrug their shoulders and smile and think I’m getting paid 40 grand a week who gives a shit what some Clowns are shouting at me.
Are we saying abuse only matters if it’s race related, I’ve been called an inbred Bastard, fat pikey cunt, northern monkey, gypo, bald wanker and the rest and I agree with it entirely lol and it’s the same for every other fan and player out there,
Anyone who went to football in the 80s knew that every away game you took your life into your hands and whether you’d get out alive and to tell the tale, 90s mins of non stop abuse, coins, seats, bottles of piss, bricks and that was if you were lucky then running the gauntlet back to the station.
Racism plastered over the media seems to be in vogue at present, the reality is it’s nowhere near as bad as the sensationlised precious look at me generation make out, I’d hazard a guess more abuse it thrown at fat ginger players or fans on a weekly basis but nothing gets reported? Abuse is abuse full stop!.

The idea that going to away matches back in the day was tantamount to risking your life is simply not true.

I can tell many on here have never been racially abused.
The Danny Rose incident happened FIVE years ago, come on everyone move on. This is as good intervention from him, just like the rest are.
