Some of you lot need to get a fucking grip.
Today was not a great performance but we deserved at least a point from that. We bossed most of the second half but just could not create much. Lets not forget that the Baggies are fourth in the table and have the best frontline in the division. Yet according to the Oatcake it is the most diabolical performance ever? Of fucking course...
Moaning and whinging every time the ball is passed backwards, booing every subpar performance and heaping loads of additional pressure on the players is just making the situation worse. The constant 'poor me' histrionics on here and on social media won't help the atmosphere much either. People keep talk about the club being 'toxic' but the most toxic thing about it right now is a large section of our fanbase.
We called for Rowett to go, we called for a young manager who would play attacking football. We got our way and said we would give him time and be patient. Six games is not fucking patient. People writing him off already and comparing us to Sunderland are fucking idiots.
I know some of you are very precious and entitled, I am anticipating you will all whine about how much you pay, how long you have supported the team, how much the players are paid and wah wah wah... but none of this is helping our situation. On the contrary, you are actively contributing to our demise.
I am just as frustrated as the next person and yes the majority of the players have been relentlessly lame for a good couple of years now. However, if we are going to grind ourselves out of this shithole we need to stop crying so much and stick with the team a bit more. If it is too difficult for you to resist contributing to the constant negativity it is probably in everyone's best interests if you fuck off for a little bit.

For me it was a big improvement on Preston. We were much more proactive. I thought there was very little to choose between the two teams and had we scored first they would have struggled. Fans just don't seem to give encouragement though and are looking for the first opportunity to show disapproval.

The problem is no movement from the strikers but at least today we were trying to get the ball in the opposition half. What do you hope to achieve by showing frustration with players? At least today they didn't retreat into their shells and hide behind sideways passing all the time.

Fact is, that formation doesn’t work with the players we have.
If he keeps playing it, and we keep getting beat, he’s not going to get much support, and he’s not going to get a summer transfer window to sort it out, he’ll be out the door, because that smacked of either naivety or stubborness.
442 diamond needs attacking, pacey fullbacks, don’t have them, don’t play it.

Thanks for OP.
I missed the match today due to a family 40th.
I was relieved to hear we only lost 1-0 expecting a drubbing off the highest scorers in the Champ.
I expected to see the usual carping from the usual suspects and then looked quizically at the stats and saw that we had more shots and corners than the opposition (?).
I was disappointed to see Jones didn't keep faith with Bojan after last week, but realise he probably felt he needed to stiffen the side against WBA.
Jones is trying to radically change our style of play and some make recall it took Hughes nearly half a season before the changes he implemented in his first season started to bear fruit.

Jack hardly had to exert himself either against one of the best frontlines in the championship...gave away stupid free kick and we were punished for it but other than that there wasn’t much between the two teams.

I still think football is a confidence game as is scoring goals. They have the confidence, we don't. That is the only difference between us and a lot of teams. Moaning fans don't help confidence either.

Whilst I agree with the OP’s point, you need a team to give you something to cheer and get behind and sing for. However die hard a fan you are, you can’t keep cheering on fucking shit. And it’s been long enough, I think a large portion have just had enough

Stoke fans would have a fucking heart attack if we played like West Brom.
The booing and moaning when we had the audacity to turn and play the ball back to Jack on 30 mins, the first time we did, was pathetic.
I can't understand why we want to keep the ball and recycle it if under pressure and nothing in front!!!!!

Get yourself in the changing room and point out to these poor things that to win a game when the other side score then you need to have at least two shots on target. Every week we have some player saying things have to improve, or to rub salt in the wounds, you get Sam Shush Clucas saying that it’s just one of those things. The fans could do all the things you ask and this bunch would not change their approach or outlook at all. There are at least 10 of our current squad, several of whom are recent purchases who clearly don’t give a fu** I don’t boo, in fact I said nothing all game- but if you think I am going to act like a seal that’s been thrown a fish watching this bunch, then you can- I won’t. Attitude will cover a myriad of shortcomings, but this lot of Prima donnas ( Ince and Clucas being the worst examples) show no guts or desire.

We did not deserve a point?
We gave away a school boy goal.
We struggled to have a shot on target.
We didn't win a single 50-50 challenge.
We got exactly what we deserved - defeat.

I don’t take any comfort in a 1-0 home defeat, to a team who we finished above last season, who have an inexperienced manager, and who have spent a fraction of what we have spent this season. We didn’t threaten their goal once. I don’t care if they hardly threatened ours, if we spend the rest of the season ‘hardly conceding many chances’ but creating none then we’ll go down. And if the cowardly bastards can’t take fan criticism for the shit they’re serving up every week then they should fuck off.

“We are a massive part of the problem”
I’m sending an email now to the owners and CEO apologising on behalf of “we”. No doubt it will be minuted at the next board meeting, Radio Stoke and the Sentinel will run a story highlighting our apologies for three years of unbearable football, our relegation and failure to impact upon the Championship.

From what I saw west Brom came with a game plan to score first then absorb pressure and pack their area with an organised defense, thinking we "controlled" the game in the second half is a bit short sighted as they executed their plan and we failed to break them down.

Jones has my full support but....
Clucas ain't a left back
Allen and Etebo ain't wide players
Mclean ain't no striker
Ince not a clue at the top of the diamond
I get that this is his way of playing but fuck me he needs at least 6 players for his system. Practice makes perfect I guess 🤔
