Season ticket sales will go down and the average gate will probably go below 20k. However I think the atmosphere will improve as result as the fans that remain will actually get behind the lads and help us turn from a failed Premiership side into a competitive Championship side. Once the remaining fans have done the work of supporting the team through the hard times and we start to turn things round the prawn sandwich munchers will return in numbers to join in with a rousing chorus of "We'll be with you" - delivered without a hint of irony. It was ever thus.

Where do you get these Prawn Sandwiches from ? I have searched the ground from both ends to the posh dinning rooms with table cloths without success.
Not tried the new corner yet. 😆

Take banners, protest outside like the old days but don't desert the lads. It's like cutting ya nose off to spite your face. We are pissed off because of what we are seeing on the pitch so that means we care, so we should'nt turn our backs on them but make our voices heard against what we deem to be the cause of the problems. The lads? You know, the lads on the pitch?

They will increase the price. Believe its not increased for 10 years now, so even if Old Mother Riley was manager and we were playing in the Ismithian Leage 2, then the business-heads would want an increase. They dont get it do they ?

My mate and I come from East Riding of Yorkshire - a round trip of almost 300 miles. He's talking seriously of not renewing. I shall be renewing, come what may - but it's gonna be hard to drive to 23 games (plus any cup games) rather than 12!
I suspect he's talking big, but it's worrying that he's even discussing it.

The fans knew from the day we won at Anfield in the cup, that things were starting to go down the pan, why didn’t the hierachy see it, there wont be 10,000 season ticket holders next season, so fuck Scholes and Fat boy Carwright off so the fans can see that something is being done

Presumably he means we won the game but lost the tie on penalties , Agree it wasn’t obvious at the time , but it could be considered a turning point , for me as I’ve said many times it was the window of summer 2017 , lowest net spenders , banked a profit , sold our best player to a rival , apaloing jusgemrnt in recruitment reached new Loews , as sustainable overtook common sense , said at the time this century’s equivalent of the butler street stand collapse

It was not a fabulous atmosphere at all in the days if 7000 to 11000 fans which we had in the catastrophe season and have had many seasons- if you think that we’ll have a good atmosphere next year with 12000 to 14000 fans which is what we will have at the ground, I think you are going to be disappointed. It was never incessant cheering in the days of low crowds and you are being liberal with the truth if you really think it was.

I'm depressed as fuck about being a Stoke fan at the moment. I feel like i'm at the lowest point of my love for the club i've ever been. It's an absolute chore going down there to watch this shit and it has been for 2 years or more now. But the only way i'll ever stop going down is when they take me away in a coffin. I'll moan, i'll boo, i'll make it known to everyone how unhappy i am at the way things are going. But Stoke is just in my blood. I started supporting them in the 80's. I've seen us go through dark times before. I know that one day it will get better. One day i'll get that love back of going down to watch them. I had a glimps of it against Leeds. That's been the best i've felt watching Stoke for a long time. This season can't end quick enough for me now. Then i'll have my summer break and will be back down with my season ticket in hand full of optimism for the season ahead. Because when you lose the, this'll be our season, feeling at the start of a new season then it's really time to pack in. Season 2018/19 good riddance. You will go down as one of the worst. Season 2019/20, well that's going to be our year isn't it. City till i die!

I’ve never known an atmosphere at any football match be improved by smaller crowds and empty spaces. The atmosphere at the Brit was largely non-existent until the back end of the promotion season in 2008, and only came to full-blooded life when we suddenly attracted an additional 10,000 or so supporters once we’d hit the Premier League. They may not be as committed as the mainstays who’ll remain with the club through thick and thin, but to suggest they won’t be missed is just plain wrong.

Did we bollocks come out of Anfield knowing that was the start of our decline. I said it the second after van Ginkel hit the post. I didn't even watch the shoot out, just walked out of the stadium in disgust at what was clearly about to unravel.....

I knew after we'd struggled to beat Everton away that the decline was setting in. We'd had to rely on individual brilliance and magnificent collective teamwork to put them under. Why it took everyone else another month to realise we were finished is beyond me.

Should be a hefty discount offered beyond the early bird price - we've had 3 seasons of complete shit and need a sign that the club accepts responsibility - say 100 per ticket loyalty discount........
They have killed the goose that laid the golden egg NOT the supporters..
