Have to disagree with you sheik. He's said it's a process. Its obvious he thinks the squad needs a fucking package through it. How can he go from completely building a successful, attractive squad to this- a piss squad that have been on a downward spiral for 3 years? These players are the problem and they need fucking off pronto, by whatever means. Yes and we all know there's nothing wrong with the process!

Again. What do you want him to say? He’s got a bunch of players that he probably knows are wank and are rock bottom. Should he do why rowett did and slate the fans favourite so they can all cry? If he had said we should of had a pen and they should have been down to 10 men then some would still slate him. Well if he comes out with the stuff he has tonight it quite rightly leads to people questioning his judgement and his capacity to assess a game of football. That was tosh a million miles worse than anything Rowett ever said. Got disagree mate. Rowett went that one step too far publically hanging players out then giving it the big I am.

Without the ball I agree with him. With the ball we were appalling.

The man is deluded. If he seriously stands by those comments I’m dumbfounded!

I’d rather have a manager acknowledging a game for what it was rather than trying to tell us some fairy story based (presumably) on what he was hoping to see. It just makes him look stupid.

Putting a positive spin is one thing. Using the word 'excellent' anywhere near that performance is a completely different thing. It makes a rod for your own back and makes you look deluded and out of touch with reality.
It was less bad than the Preston game. But that's as positive as you can get.

That after match interview. Fuck me drunk!!!!! Spot on, I want him to come out and destroy any sort of confidence they have left, single out everyone of them and say how shit they are, maybe even throw in some personal insults as well, can't believe he didn't even diss the way Woods runs.

Yeah. If I thought he was doing that, fair dos. The fact is, I'm sure he believes it. Christ's wounds what a fucking state we're in

The season’s a write-off anyway. He may as well just experiment.

Overall it really wasn't a bad performance and much of what Jones is saying is right. Defensively we looked very sound yesterday apart from their goal where we certainly switched off for a moment, but that was also their only real effort on goal. We had several good crosses into their box, and this was Edward's best game for Stoke without a shadow of a doubt for me. Still there are some things that baffles me a lot and the one which I find the weirdest is the use of McClean as one of two strikers. He is totally useless in this position, he doesn't make good runs and he is so hot headed that he hardly can hit the ball when by chance getting into a good position. The Hull game is a great example of why he never should play there again. We looked much better after Saido came on. For the whole season we have all seen that Afobe has the potential to score goals, but he is not a lone striker. Now, when we at last get the ideal player to play alongside him he is of course pushed out of the team!! With the two chosen strikers yesterday there was certainly too little movement and too few runs in behind their defense, which made us predictable and easy to defend against. Another thing I would like to see is us moving the ball forward much quicker. Most goals in football are scored on the break or after just a few touches within the team, set pieces not included here I think, so we need to get the ball forward much quicker and more often than we do. Still I think yesterday's perforformance is something to build on, and with Charlie back the ball will be played quicker forward more often. I'm depressed as usual after a defeat, but still hoping we'll come good in the end. NJ, please never let Etebo take a free kick close to the opponents goal again, he probably has the worst shot in the whole squad! He is a hard worker, that's it! ....................Butland.................... Edwards.....Batth............Indi.......Clucas .....................Adam..................... .......Allen----------------------Etebo....... .....................Ince..................... ..............Afobe........Vokes.............. Subs: Federici, Shawcross, Bauer, Woods, McClean, Diouf, Berahino.
