Really want the kid do well but if he was man of the match god help us. He is standing in no mans land half the time it was crying out for him to overlap but he was scared of getting forward. Is he under orders not to get forward or was he just knackered? He can put good crosses in but if he is our width then he needs to make himself available.

Hard to see who was anywhere close to being better.

By far and away our best player tonight. Some of his crossing was fantastic.

Players are waiting to pass to him out wide but he isn’t there most of the attacks, why isn’t he pushing forward to wide open spaces where he can put more quality crosses in, so frustrating!

Joe Allen head and shoulders above the rest of our players, he surrounded by players with half his energy and half his talent

Batth for me Edwards a close runner up. 3 of the four looked much better than recent weeks.

Him and Etebo were the stand outs by a mile. Edwards was blowing out of his arse second half which is why he was struggling getting forwards later on.

I thought etebo was mom, although he wasn't great.
I stayed at home to watch it (am a season ticket holder) so can't comment re edward s staying on the half way line, but if that is the case it sounds like instructions from the manager to me.

Still think he has no first class clue of when to get tight and when to drop off...he’s always a foul or penalty waiting to happen. Hopefully he learns, but these are basic skills for a half decent full back.

The manager had him back marking Gayle most of the time, when he got forward he put in some really good crosses.

Played well. Repeatedly made himself available going forward and put in some excellent crosses. Defended competently and not guilty of switching off for their goal, unlike some of our more senior players. Offered far more than Clueless who failed to get a single cross in beyond the first opposition defender. Tom was MOM in my opinion.

I Can't really argue with it. He's MOM by process of elimination.
I like Etebo but he wasn't up to much scratch today in my opinion, unless you count blasting it over the bar in promising positions.

Would have this thread been started if any other player got MotM?
