How the fuck jones can turn this pile of shit around is beyond me!!! 50 years and you’ve had enough? Really ? I’ve seen a lot worse times than this in 30 years! Chill out and have a cheese cake.

We don’t need fans who only watch us when we win anyway.

Some fuckwit responses on here - yes, we have all seen Stoke in far more parlous states over the years than this, but in those dark days we had fuck all but a semblance of pride.
Now we have more money than we’ve ever had and the absolute killer is that every single one of us has seen this unfolding since that match against the victims.
Fuck all has been done to address the situation, it almost feels as though the powers that be have gone out of their way to make it worse at every turn.
That’s what boils peoples piss. THIS WHOLE SITUATION WAS AVOIDABLE.
So for all those turning on fellow supporters, take a deep breath and think. When we’ve been wank in the past it’s because we were at a wank level being wank because we were wank with only loose change in our pocket.
We’ve spent a bastard fortune to be this shit and that takes some doing.

How the fuck jones can turn this pile of shit around is beyond me!!! 50years you say... So you must have seen a lot worse than the current team then... So why give up now Perhaps he’s just got fed up of it. We have been worse is trotted out to defend the fact that we play with no passion, pace and ingenuity. Today we had £12 m on the pitch that were simply woeful (McLean and Clucas , who should take his “shushing” finger, stick it up his arse and then smell how shit he is.) We had £25 m of strikers on the bench ( one who has the heart and courage of a Butterfly and one who has the touch of a wrecking ball, and we have a defender in BMI who should take up girls football and even then he’d struggle. I reckon Bosi should make a plaque because I think we have reached a point where a significant portion of our support has probably reached breaking point- that doesn’t mean that they are JCL’s but that they may have more common sense than those of us who can’t shake what is becoming an increasingly bad habit.

If I had a motive for not going it would be to avoid sitting with a load of fucking cry babies who throw their toys out of the pram every time we lose.

This is all about opinions, but if a bloke who is jacking it in after 50 years (due to what I’d argue are legitimate concerns - we just shouldn’t be in this fucking mess) just gets met with the good old ‘fuck you’ / ‘see ya’ type responses then there is something horribly wrong with our fan base. That gives me concern.

I know where you’re coming from mate, but there’s more to it I think. I’ve barely missed a home match for 30-odd years until the last 2 season. I’ve got 4 ST’s and following Stoke costs me a small fortune, but the last couple of season I’ve missed more than a few games. The money doesn’t matter, the fact that die-hard supporters are finding better things to do with their time really does matter. I’ll renew all 4 as ever, but there’s not a hope in hell of me being an ever-present next season when this utter bag of wank keeps being served up. I can take us being shit, but the lack of basic pride from our multi-millionaires on show just boils my piss.

It will get better and we all thought we would be doing better, as well. However, we are in a great place as a football club. A local owner with new found wealth, world class training facilities, a much bigger fan base than eleven years ago. We just need to get through this tough time. I take solice in knowing we will never be in the position of where we were in the Brian Little era. Or not in the near future. We just need to get it right on the pitch. Because we have spent so much, expectations are high. I’ve never seen us in that position before. We have always had to do it on a small budget. It’s a new world for us all. But it will come good.

And that is the thing that keeps us going - the hope. You’re absolutely right, it will get better, but Jesus it’s frustrating - mainly due to the money involved as you say.

Totally agree. Think there is a misalignment of expectations and being realistic. We’re taking baby steps to getting back to where we belong. I was one of those with expectations that we would bounce right back up but luckily I saw the light after the Leeds game. There is a huge task in hand for NJ to bring the good times back but he certainly has the right ideas to do that and has proved it can be done ala Luton albeit on a smaller scale. Players and managers come and go but turn up and support Stoke City. The good times will return.

Some people will look to validate their exit, whether they be JCLs or not i.e. we’re shite, have to work Saturdays, the goldfish died or whatever. Bottom line is whoever wants to be there in August will be there, at that point we will move forward because those in the ground will get behind the team because that are supporters, simples. Hopefully the doom watchers will have moved on to shopping in Asda or their Playstations, until we’re back in the Premier with their names on the back of their shirts😉

It’s never going to be easy and straight forward...we’re Stoke ..i think maybe it’s time for us the fans to show the team we care ...let’s show’em some unconditional love ! ❤️❤️❤️ We’ve been here before ...but if we don’t stand firm and loyal behind our team then we’re just as bad as them ...how about we turn the rest of the season into one big party ....yeh we’re playing a bit crap ....yeh it’s not the prem..but it could be a whole lot worse ...we could be down with the Vale ! I know the atmosphere and the fans play an important role psychologically for the team and we ain’t providing a good atmosphere right now ....our job is to be hostile to the away team ...not our own. We need to up our game as fans ...I suggest we lead the way.....because when the Boothen end roars you can hear it in Boslem.
We’re Stoke Loud and Proud ! Time to put your game face on ..and let’s get back to being the loudest set of fans in the land .....the team will catch up, ive no doubt about that ...in fact I’m gonna go full Deilia on this...maybe a couple of gin and tonics and the bloke pitchside with the microphone will let me give it a ....... “ COME ON, LETS BE HAVIN’ YA”

I think the problem is that in the past when we've been shit it's because we were skint and having to scrape the bottom of the bargain bin with both players and managers. Occasionally we struck gold like with Macari and Stein but in general you pay peanuts you get monkeys and that's what we mostly ended up with.
Right now there's no excuse. We have parachute payments and rich owners and we should have the pick of the better players and managers outside of the Premier League. We've spent huge amounts of money that we couldn't have dreamed of in the 80s and 90s so there's just no excuse for being this bad. We can't expect to walk the league but by god we shouldn't be this shit. That's what makes our current struggles exceptional in our history. I don't think at any point in our history have we underachieved so much compared to our resources. Maybe Alan Ball but we had little money then.

For me it is the lack of effort and the complete disinterest of some of our players. I was only a child but in the Lou Macari’s days in the late 80s and early 90s you went knowing you’d see 11 men give their all. You can get behind that but you can’t get behind this.

The club in its entirety needs a new direction, it’s not just what’s on the pitch that needs to change.

So that should be 2x season tickets for me and the lad.

Around 500 stormed the Waddington suite- please enlighten me how this fits in with your theory that this is support. By all means turn up every week no matter what is in front of you- to some it’s support to others it’s blind stupidity that reeks of having nothing better to do with your time. I have witnessed Blythe, Telford, Nuneaton in the flesh, stood at Shrewsbury watching Tony Ellis make a dick of himself and had the privilege of watching Hudson stroll through mud that would get games abandoned these days. Some fans may be your definition of JCL’s but some may also have more worthwhile things to do than watch some half hearted prima donnas . Given that it’s an opinion board, why belittle people who may have had enough- ever thought that the “happy clap” brigade are equally infuriating? .
