from yesterday, and i'ts not possible to blame Bauer for a single one of Shrews goals.
Goal one. Attack starts at our right, no way through there, and Shrews just passes the ball 20-30 meters to our left with no Stoke-players at sight. Free shot.
Goal two. Another attack at our right. Bauer stops his man, Adam has (maybe a little late) his man, Clucas cant cope with the "speed" of his man and makes the penalty.
Goal three. At our left. Poor defendig by Tymon and Williams before Shrews nr.8 jogs past three Stoke players to get the ball with BMI nowhere to be seen. Bauer has to choose between two free attackers in front of goal, and rightfully picks the most dangerous man closest to the middle. So when the ball's coming in from nr.8, which nobody (3 or 4 of them) picks up, its easy for him to find the free man at the back post.
Poor defending for all 3 goals, but put the blame at the right place. This was Bauers first game for a long time, give him time and he should be the Moritz we knew from Premier League. All of a sudden a bad player overnight? Not for me.

You could see Bauer was trying to stay in the correct positions but Clucas was not picking up his man and expecting Bauer to come out to do it for him.

Exactly, he was also having a dig at young Campbell, worst player on the pitch last night closely rolled by tymon unfortunately

They'll just ignore you, blatantly make up lies, and then seize upon the next error he does make as proving them right all along.

Odd thing was - Why was Clucas, who is nearly as left-footed as Imbula, playing on the right of the ‘diamond’ rather than on his favoured left side? Every time he received the ball he had to check back onto his left foot to play the ball infield. Also a contributory cause for the penalty, as he has to make a tackle with his ‘wrong’ foot. Surely there would have been better balance to the midfield if he was on the left with Tymon, with Etebo or Woods on the right!

Etebo is left footed too but far more comfortable on the right than Sam. However if the manager sees he's made a mistake and doesn't play Clucas in that role again then fine.

Or anywhere till Clucas has taken a good long look at himself. I could only think he thought Etebo would be a bit more physical on the left side to help out Tymon so it was to try to balance out the two sides but who knows. Definitely never again. I imagine Allen will be there on Saturday.

It was like watching a really old football game from the 40ies on video, with 45 year olds ...
So slow it's frightening.
Still unbelievable Crouch's goal didn't count.

Etebo is Right footed. Had this debate with guys sitting next to me. They said he was left footed. Ten minutes later after now watching the match they said oh yeah he’s right footed !! Amazing how folk don’t really watch properly.
