Buy someone like Tom Lees, Grant Hanley, Nathan Baker. 3 birds with one stone. 1. Know the league. It won't be a "culture shock" 2. Captains/leaders/organisers 3. CBs in their 20s

The worry is you look at that team and there isn’t a stand out captain! For me it would have to be Adam. He’s come in admittedly against lower opposition but he’s ran the show, put his all in and we know how passionate he is. I genuinely can’t think of anyone else I really like Charlie, but last night wasn’t exactly a typical performance. Everything he tried came off. Every Hollywood ball found its recipient with complete accuracy. Charlie will always make things happen, but the downsides to his game are usually a lot more noticeable than they were last night. I’ll admit that last night he was 100% the leader out there, but I still can’t see him being anymore than a bit part player for the rest of the season. The fact that he was head and shoulders above everyone else should be as big a cause for concern as everything else that happened.

Shawcross the idle bystander watching the ship sink you mean???! I see woods often having a go at shawcross for not having a go at others... Shawcross barely reacts. Think his ship sailed when he turned on the fans His reaction when we concede is definitely “head down” which is the polar opposite of what we need. I’m don’t think Shawcross ever turned on the fans though, he is a true professional. We need someone intelligent, with character and some fire in them to lead this team. Perhaps NJ should bring in someone new for the role, ideally a colossal CB. Except for that time he cupped his hands to the supporters when he scored a couple of seasons ago?

I genuinely can’t think of anyone else To be team captain it would help if you are regularly in the team. All Charlie's past managers have liked him and extended his contracts. And yet all of them have reached the conclusion that he should not be in the team. There are reasons such as his inability to keep fit over a long period, his inability with finding the proper seat in the system, and his inability to stay out of trouble.
