I feel like all our defenders should be made to sit in a room with Robert Huth for an hour. He would talk/knock some sense in to them right now..

Shrews first goal Shrews third goalTalk about time and space !! Watching the game last night it was quite frightening seeing our central defenders lumbering all over the place. If you look at their first goal I was in line with the edge of the area on row 4 and you could clearly see that BMI saw the player going for the ball when it was played across the edge of the area. He then proceeded to jog and I mean jog over towards their player whilst he got the ball under control, moved forward and hit it. BMI still got nowhere near to closing the player down even though if he’d put even half a sprint in he’d have had a chance. Bone idle defending for both 1st and 3rd goals.

3rd goal went through William's legs , straight past bruno and bauer and clucas a mile away. School boy.
Bauer has always been questioned defensively, on this evidence I see why. Tymon is inexperienced but as for William's I'm sure Brad bobbley will highlight him on soccer am.

I won't have a go at Jones. The squad as a whole is shit. We need changes now, not later. This board must back him. This downward spiral started in the Prem, and IMHO has got worse. As I said t'other day, we need a miracle worker with this lot. No matter which way we play, they have proven beyond doubt, that they are not good enough!

We need 2 experienced centre halves so that Shawcross, BMI And Williams are just back ups. Sadly I can’t see it happening.

The reason Bauer was dropped was because he plays like a winger not a fullback and gets caught upfield all the time. Same with Tymon.

Last night who decided to sit back at 2- 0? Was it the Manager or the players? No one asks the awkward questions after the match do they?
I hear that NJ is a Manic Street Preachers fan- - -So 'If you tolerate this'----------

Unlike many I thought that there were positives to come out of last night's game. I did not see too many sad faces at half time. We looked far more incisive during the first half and well done Tyrese Campbell you show what pace can achieve in a forward line. We moved the ball with far quicker fluency and in a more positive manner. This gave me faith in what the new manager is trying to achieve. Charlie showed how to move the ball forward much faster but sadly his lack of fitness was part of our downfall. Yes our full backs were very advanced but that is the part of the system we play. I hope that people saw that Bauer is not any better than who we have been playing. It is clear where our problems lie. Once again we conceded two goals or more. Sides cannot be successful with that type of record. Looking to our future performances I cannot see the benefit of continuing with Crouch in the squad. He offers very little. It is becoming very clear that Ince flatters to deceive. He loses the ball far to easily and is wasteful when in good areas. Many sang the praises of Charlie in the first half and he deserved the praise but he was soon sorted by Shrewsbury in the second half. With Saturday fast arriving I believe that we should move forward with Edwards and Clucas as our wing backs in the system we play. In Etebo, Woods and Allen we have energetic midfielders who can effect the game. Berahino and Campbell need our perseverance up front. Surely before time runs out I think the manager needs to try Bojan in the withdrawn role behind these two. Boy do we have a problem in the centre of defence and while the window is open I am praying that good business can be done!

Is this a game of ‘spot the Williams’?

The fact Williams is nowhere to be seen is mind boggling. We really do need to invest in two young but strong and mobile centre-backs. That way, the full backs haven't got to drop inside to cover for the completely inept centre-back duo. Tymon is in the middle for the first goal, Bauer in the middle or the second goal. If the centre-back had the positional awareness, both would be in the vacant areas where the Shrewsbury player is about to score.

I fully agree about Williams & Indi For the first BMI failed to cover the gap when Tymon was pulled inside, for the second the Williams had gone missing leaving Bauer with two to mark, he gambled on going to the one in the middle they passed to the one at the back stick.

Neither full back anywhere is sight. I think that your ire should be pointed at the centre halves. The first goal is received by the scorer two yards to the right of the semi circle on the edge of the box - neither centre half within 10 yards of the ball- the 3rd goal has Williams wandering out to the Stoke left and the carthorse that is BMI manages to get back into our box ( after wandering around near the half way line marking space) just as they score- Bauer having been drawn into the middle to cover the space that Indi should have been in. I can’t believe that some people actually think that BMI is in any way a competent footballer.

What reason is he there, to the point where eventually the only player attempting to press the scorer is Bruno? As for the third, care to tell me why Williams is out wide? If you or others want to have a go at Williams then look at the penalty, or are people too busy blaming Clucas for that? What on earth is Williams doing stepping up and gambling there?

It's not a shit system if you have good fullbacks - but we don't and I'm sure that'll be addressed. He's expecting full backs to play as wingbacks in a back 4. I don't see how that works. Yes because Barcelona and Man City struggle so badly with attacking wing backs in a back 4.......the honest answer is we have may e 4 or 5 players who are good enough so NO system that requires 11 decent players will work. Virtually any system will work if you commit to it and have the players to play it.

The goals also highlight how pathetic our midfield is.
They just switch off & don’t track the runners. Clucas was pathetic for the second & Charlie Adam Just watched & let someone run off him & create the third.
The whole thing needs major work.

Shrews first goal Shrews third goalTalk about time and space !! He plays with no width. Nether full back has any cover. It's a shit system. A shit system that won him promotion and Luton smashing the league again this season Just say you don't like the bloke its easier.

Having watched that. 3 main points. 1. The Tom Ince miss is fucking awful, I don’t even understand how he missed that. 2. How can Sam Clucas complain about the penalty, it’s a fucking shit ‘tackle’ where he’s about 3 yards from the ball and just trips the man up. 3. What was our RCB doing over at LB and getting megged, then turning round and watching the player stride into the box.

The manager should have known they'd be blowing out of their arse after 60 minutes, if not sooner!!

That challenge from clucas for the pen is absolutely Sunday league standard! In fact that’s harsh on Sunday league players! That should warrant a spell on the sidelines alone. What was noticeable in them highlights was how quickly it looked like Adam moved the ball forward
