Already booked a weekend away on the play off weekend, don't think I'll be missing out on a trip to Wembley Well, you've gone and done it now mate. I guarantee because you've done that, we'll reach the play offs If it means we can make the play offs so be it 😖 I can book a race on the day of the FA cup final now 🤣

Play Offs.? I think almost everybody has given up on that expectation. What is most worrying now is my and a growing number of others almost passive acceptance of the dross that we are being served game after game. I have no optimism before games and expect the worse, and accept it when it arrives. I will renew my ST’s next season but I am expecting a severe drop in numbers doing the same. A sure sign of the continuing decline of a club dissintergrating before our eyes. The management need to take some drastic decisions both upstairs and on the ground or we are destined to another long long period of mediocrity and frustration for a long time to come. Agreed, as a crowd you can see the noticeable lack of passion and I think that comes from a numbing effect. 2/3 years ago if we went behind there would be a roar and we would get behind the team now we just accept that we are going to lose. That is just human nature, we have been subjected to that losing feeling endless times so you go into a state of numbed paralysis- neither happy when we score as it feels inevitable the opposition will at least equalize or get 2/3/4 or sad when we concede because it's just what always happens. When we do score and a chant of "your not singing anymore" goes round I inwardly cringe and feel like it is tempting the footballing gods to immediately bestow an equalizer upon us- which it invariably does. I can honestly say that I haven't enjoyed a single game in the last 12 months. The sad thing is that once you are in this state of numbed paralysis you start to question the value (having relinquished the joyful ignorance of being a supporter who goes along with hope in their heart of a turn-around, a freak result etc) of what you are seeing for what you are paying and question the sanity of continuing to go. We are no Sunderland/Newcastle and the number of empty seats next year is going to be something to behold I fear!

We may not get promoted but we owe it to ourselves to fuck it up for any club aspiring to do so especially when they visit here!!!!

The strange thing is each new season I try to get better seats but stlll end up in the ones I have been in for some time ?

Concentrate on not getting beat in the next match, then the next and then the next after that - draws ok to start with, clean sheets very welcome and then maybe, just maybe we can eek out a win or two and gain some fucking confidence.......

Statistically we need 14 wins out of 19. 73% win rate, almost 3/4.
Let it go, never happening.

The odds for us reaching the playoffs are only around 6-1. For relegation, about 250-1.

How big are our chances to reach the play offs (and possibly PL)? 23%? Closer to 23% chance of relegation than play offs

We have to avoid relegation and build a proper footballing team now.

I think we'll have to collect 78 points to reach the Play offs. Is it possible?
Atm we have 38 points. Can we get 40 points out of the remaining 15 matches?
Optimistic version:
Wigan A : win Ipswich A : win Aston Villa H : win Nottingham H : win QPR A : draw Derby A : lost Reading H : win Sheff Wed H : win Blackburn A : lost Swansea A : draw Rotherham H : win Mboro A : lost Norwich H : lost Millwall A : draw Sheff Utd H : draw
Hmm. Only 25 points. We stand on 38+25=63 p then.
More likely 53?

If beyond the realms of all possibilities we got to the final match with a chance. History suggests we always fuck it up playing Sheff Utd last game!

No chance of us making the playoffs. We’re not getting 35+ points from our remaining 15 games - nobody in the division is averaging above 2pts per game, we need at least 2.3pts per game.

The four games coming up are very important not to be relegated. Even if get 12 points there, I struggle to find more than 3 wins in the last 11.

There is about as much chance of Kelly Brook just waltzing in to my office room right now, nude and saying 'Please can I suck you off'? as reaching the playoffs.
Never going to happen.
