I'd rather Bojan didn't play after so long out and with a recent bug. Our expectations are too high at this moment in time. Let him get fit.

Some of the horses I back are arthritic!

Not in replays. 90 mins + extra time + penalties, to my knowledge I think they have done away with replays from the fifth round onwards That is correct

Very difficult to gauge how he will perceive some of the fringe/youth players and whether he will give them a chance. People like:
Tymon Souttar Adam Fletcher Campbell Crouch Bauer Bojan
All of these have had very little game time this season and I'd expect a few to feature.

I think it’s because Shawcross and Williams currently have all the movement of an arthritic shire horse and he couldn’t do any worse.... As bad as Williams and Shawcross have been I think Souttar has the potential to be fucking awful. Maybe that's why last season when one of our centre backs got injured against Chelsea we played Fletcher at centre back rather than bring Souttar from the bench. I don't really understand why we're still employing him to be honest. Maybe that's why with a year passed we like to think a young man has matured and could at the very least be given some chances.

Given we may be looking to stave off relegation while Jones finds his feet we could do with a cup run to keep spirits up so I wouldn't expect to see that many fringe players involved against Shrewsbury. The time to look at the young fringe players (Tymon, Souttar, Campbell, Shenton) is when safety is assured (but not in the unlikely event we make a late push for a play off slot). I really don't see the point of experimenting with the old guard (Adam, Fletcher, Crouch) if we are looking to the future. Bojan and Bauer could fit into Jones's preferred formation so despite my personal reservations (Bojan is a serial bottler and Bauer has no discipline) there's a case to give them a go. However they've both had chances and I'd rather see an early decision on their future than have them lingering around like a bad smell - even if to some it is Channel No 5.

I'd try and see us without Allen but if he insists try him at the base of the diamond. That thought scares me. We might as well tie a balloon to the ground and see it fluster one way then the other. That's what Allen will do.

Fed Bauer BMI Williams Pieters Etebo Allen Clucas Bojan Campbell Crouch Keep the diamond formation with Bojan behind Crouch/Campbell and Etebo in front of the defense

Perhaps Jones has seen something in Tymon in training he likes and feels he can work with going forward?.

Obviously first & foremost we need to win. If we can do so with a bit of style and a glimpse of what lies ahead then that will be a bonus.

Shrewsbury are favourites for me, in truth it shouldn’t have come to replay as at 1-0 down the lad who missed an absolutely sitter won’t be appreciated if they lose.
Any stick for the two tossers planned??

You've already been sacked pal, no point keeping it going Having lost my job dealing with unrealistic expectations and fans more interested in seeing their favourite poster boy on the pitch than a set of players who can actually cope with the realities of Championship football I thought I'd just pass on my best wishes and advice for the new guy - stick to your principles, pick the team you believe in and ignore the know nothing dickheads who post their vacuous drivel on social media. Best Wishes GR

Just got into the ground, Franklyn Upper, wandered over to the kiosk, fancied a pint. 'They're trialling Card payment in this stand aren't they?' "Do you take card payment?" "Cash only" Chucking money away.
