I’ve been told that Junior makes the decisions, I know Hughes was his decision. I've been told by my neighbour who walks a dog for a woman who works at Aldi who served a customer who did some joinery for Junior that it's all rubbish

Aside from the hugely remote possibility that the posters above "who know" actually are Peter, John or TS themselves, that is far closer to the truth.

It's way too early to say they have been learned. They should have sacked Rowett after the Bristol City debacle for a start. I'm not so sure of that Pugsley. I suspect (although obviously I can't prove it) that a lot of the ground work towards getting in a new manager was done days or even a week or two before the axe fell on Rowett. I suspect that Rowett was sacked as soon as the board were reasonably confident that they could get Jones. If I am right then I'm happy it happened that way. Sacking a manager and THEN starting to look for another (especially mid season) is fraught with danger as we found out last January. I think most Stokies will agree that the change of managers this time round has been handled far better that it was a year ago. I agree, a lot better on replacing the manager but it couldn't have been any worse. Let's see how it goes for the rest of the season eh? Like I say, it's way too early.

Too early for pats on the back, I like what I've heard from Jones but he's not even put a team out on the pitch yet.

Think the board have handled it more professionally. There have been no votes of confidence given to rowett or silly "i dont know what the fuss is about" comments to come back and embarrass the board. We havent been seen to be publicly chasing managers and offer them the job only to be very publicly turned down by 2 or 3 managers like last time.
The silence has at times been frustrating for us fans but at least the club have come out of this transition with some dignity left.
