to the season, how long will Pulis keep his job? Will Coates get rid asap or will he rely on Pulis to turn the tide? Would Pulis be able to get us back up if the worst happened?

I would say Tones job is very safe indeed.

Possibly, but would Pulis become a target for the fans...after all it wasn't so long ago that he wasn't wanted. Things could quickly turn sour.

Would we then follow Watford's example?

Woud be gutted if our fans did that, but if we do become abit shit then I can see it happening sadly i fear that could become the case as alot of the oulis doubters, will reappear and soon pulis could find the fans turning on him like last time he was here.

well this may sound defeatist but i am going into the season believing that we will probably be relegated and anything better than the bottom 3 will be a bigger achievement than actually getting to the premier in the first place. this last season has been awesome but the money in the premier etc is stupid and to be realistic the 3 teams going up will probably be the 3 teams going down this time next year i hope i am proved horribly wrong any fan who turns on Pulis next season is well a disgrace

14th or better is my bet (at 4-1 with my £50 quid riding on it). And no matter if the worst happens, I'll still support TP for what he has achieved.

Playing devils advocate, if he lost the dressing room and wasn't get anything out of the players he had signed and gelled together, would you still support him?

I actually agree withe Erik there are a few scenarios where he could and should be sacked but they are very extreme situations.

Get rid of Tone? that would surely just be copying Derby? thats where they went wrong, didn't give Davies a chance. Coates and Pulis's relationship is strong, Coatesy wont make any rash decisions and I fully expect him to be behind TP, just like the rest of us Stokies.

I think we will survive. We are natural scrappers, we don't lose very often and we can take teams by surprise every now and then.
If I am wrong and we come down again, I think and hope Pulis keeps his job. Continuity is what is needed here. Stoke are not the finished article yet and if we yo-yo once or twice it would be no disgrace.

I didn't want TP back but for what he has done for the club he deserves to keep his job next season whatever happens. I won't be getting on his or the team's back next season even if we do struggle.
All I'm looking for is some fight and commitment - staying up would be a massive bonus. Criticising the team and baying for the managers blood as soon as it becomes apparent that it's going to be a long hard season isn't going to help anyone.
Us fans we can be an asset or a liability. If we get behind the team and show our support to the end of the season we are more likely to stay up or, if we go down, bounce straight back up again. Get on the team's back and it could end up a depressing season all round.
The biggest danger is over inflated expectations and a negative backlash when they prove unrealistic. I really hope we do stay up but in all honesty we are more likely to come straight back down. I don't think that is being negative - it's just being realistic based on the evidence of previous seasons.
It's a brilliant acheivement to back in the top division. I'm going to try and enjoy it no matter what happens. And thanks to TP for getting us there.
