On the upper tier there was one miserable food counter with a permanent queue and running out of most food. For such a big and famous stadium the facilities were as poor as the home support.

The space in the concourse as well was ridiculous for the amount of fans that it holds

Hard to believe it used to be an fa cup semi final venue, cos it's garbage for visiting fans.

The toilets for us gents were urinals for about 4/5 people and 1/2 cubicles. I guess the ladies were equally as bad as at around 70 minutes a girl of around 12 was using the cubicles!

I donβt normally go for all this health and safety stuff BUTT
Had there been a problem in that upper tier, it would have been a catastrophic incident.
Also the number of Stoke supporters crammed into a cold and old tatty tent in the back yard of the Whiton Arms at Β£2 a head for very expensive drink was a disgrace. Hope the Inland revenue and VAT man catch em.

The fact that they weren't serving ale meant that the half time break in the concourse was a lot more enjoyable than it normally is.
It consisted of a load of normal folk acting like adults and I didn't get soaked in ale for a change. And I can confirm that the chips and curry sauce they served were immense after copious pints of real ale in the Wellington.

On the upper tier there was one miserable food counter with a permanent queue and running out of most food. For such a big and famous stadium the facilities were as poor as the home support. The sea bass with spinach and gnocchi in the boxes hit the spot mate, loads of room to stretch the old legs as well. In all seriousness I do love Villa Park itβs a great ground, but the facilities in the away end are a joke. Goodison Park is the same....

It also doesnβt make it easy when stoke fans donβt understand the concept of sitting, or for an away game, standing, in their allocated seats.
Travelling down the steps from the top to the concourse was treacherous enough without buffoons blocking the way and in some cases refusing to move.

On another note I actually felt sorry for some of the fans that used the official coaches today, they got there around 1 then had to stand outside in the rain with absolutely nothing to do. Some of the disabled contingent just say freezing cold and wet in a queue for over 45 mins isnβt great. Is there any need for official coaches be there 2 hours before kick off?

That is a very poorly constructed stand in respect of the concourse facilities, also the will to consistently repair/upgrade them after repeated abuse and damage has long since evaporated at The Villa, no consolation but facilities in the asbo end are no better

Utter garbage it was. The worst away ground ive been to for space and facilities. Edgely Park must take that accolade mate, I remember there being no roof on the toilets! I went home absolutely bloody drenched with no half time respite once π

I had remembered Villa Park as being a lovely stadium and a really nice away day but even on the Live+ coverage yesterday I was shocked at how tatty it looked.
