Ok. Theresa May has had a good run for her money but it appears that her time is about to come to an end. She has put up a good fight and lasted far longer than many thought possible but the vultures are now frantically circling. So who is her likely replacement? In no particular order we have:
Boris Johnson - A proven serial liar with a very questionable set of morals. Proved to be totally incompetent as a Foreign Secretary . Not sure he would have the support of the Parliamentary Party ( it appears that a lot of Tory MPs hate him) but is worshipped by many of the party faithful. This seems strange that the middle aged, middle class ladies from the Home Counties would turn a blind eye to his well documented shenanigans.
Dominic Rabb - Alan B'stard made real. A glimpse at his voting record shows him to be not a nice character at all. Probably a favourite amongst Tory MPs certainly much more so than Johnson
Esther Mcvey - When I saw her name mentioned as a possible successor I thought it was a joke. Ex day time TV host with a nasty streak to boot - look at her handling of the Universal Credit fiasco.
Jacob Rees-Mogg - The Honourable Member for the 18th Century. Another with an atrocious voting record on some serious social issues. For me he is too much of a one trick Brexit pony who would offer little in a post Brexit world. He also embarrassed himself with that attempted coup a couple of weeks ago. I hope that after Brexit Lord Snooty retires to his Somerset Mansion never to be seen or heard of again.
Michael Gove - Did himself no favours by stabbing Boris in the back last time out.
Jeremy Hunt - He would appear to have good support with both the Parliamentary Party as well as the Party faithful. Seen as a stable figure.
Sajid Javid - Apparently well liked by some 62% of the party faithful. He is a Remainer but has not been tarnished too much by that. He would be my choice but I'm not a Tory voter
Can you add to this list?

David Davies?
Other than that think you've covered it although just maybe they will go for a more liberal candidate such as Satan or Genghis Khan.

I think it's pretty unfair for the OP to compare Raab to Alan B'stard.
Pretty sure that Mr. B'Stard would have known where Calais was at least

Not sure it would make much difference.
The Tories are finally killing themselves over Europe. I don't see how anyone can close the rift that has split that party.

You will be amazed at the Tory party’s ability to come together before a election Only one person has beaten them in the last forty years and that was a snake oil salesmen more right wing than half the Tory party

I'd prefer a Brexiteer, Boris, Davis orJacob ( I think that the main issues politically at the moment are on the world stage ( not necessarily internal) and Jacob would come over as the archetypal Britisher, and he rarely loses an argument)) . My preference would be Priti Patel...but I think that the only one that the Tories think could unite them and possibly win an election is Sajid

Whoever takes over has to try and unite a divided party.
Not easy at the best of times and this isn't the best of times.

At least I don't think they are? 😜 That's the rub. The Tories are a shambles. But they're still a better bet than Labour under Corbyn. Dumb or dumber. What a mess.
