Boring graft style of football and on the journey home it seems as though the manager is showing Bojan the door.
A team desperate for flair (especially at home)and we are letting a gem go , am seriously considering not renewing. Depressing.

I can so understand how you feel.
We had 10 points after 10 games and now we find we have got a further 20 points after the next 11 games.
Life’s a bitch isn’t it.

Honestly don't think I've ever heard it so quiet and on the bus on the way back you'd have thought we'd lost.

2 major ENTERTAINMENT issues.... McLean clucas and ince, arnt wingers... The first 2 mentioned are midfielders... Tom ince is a number 10 type player, or needs to be on the opposite wing.. Also afobe isn't a brilliant centre forward. I ask people what are his strengths.? Shot.? Good header..? Pace and power.?.. He's nothing I'd take up with me..... SO WE NEED AT LEAST 2 PROPER WINGERS AND 2 FORWARDS. a very average league this season and spending a few quid might be worth the investment..

Footie isn’t what it used to be, and many of us are clinging to the wreckage.

I said the same. Never have we beaten a team by 2 have I left feeling more deflated, it’s really weird, however the reason is that we are mid table playing shit football against bottom of the league.

A good team plays badly and wins. A poor team plays well and loses.
We are climbing up the table and are now 4 points from the play offs.
What's 'depressing' about that?

If we get promoted nobody will remember the performance v Ipswich. The 3 points are all that matters right now

But he wasn't forecasting anything based on averages, but the fact we have improved on the first 10 games. Where would our form over the last 10 put us? You do the maths, I conner be arsed, got to go up the loft to fetch a plastic fucking tree.

What has happened to our fans!? We won the game for fucks sake. Would you have prefered us to of had 20 shots on target and drew 2-2?

A good winger like the ones Derby and West Brom have loaned would make a heck of a difference to the entertainment value.

Seeing all our fans empty out of the ground at 70 minutes when we're 2-0 up is the only thing depressing about yesterday afternoon.

But... we have to learn again how to get the basics right because Sparky doesn't know how to do that and eventually that wrecked us, no? Soon we might be able to afford a bit of jam on it but not yet. I've got such a soft spot for Bojan, as I had for Hooky, but he's a luxury item and in the end an unrewarding one. Over time, what do the stats say he's actually given us, or anyone else he's played for, ever??

A good team plays badly and wins. A poor team plays well and loses. We are climbing up the table and are now 4 points from the play offs. What's 'depressing' about that? we never play well and win tho do we? And we're now 6 pts off the play offs because Sheffield utd won in the late kick off. The teams at the top seem to be winning most games too so it feels like we're getting no closer.

A good team plays badly and wins. A poor team plays well and loses. We are climbing up the table and are now 4 points from the play offs. What's 'depressing' about that? Nope. A good team plays well and wins and occasionally plays badly and loses. A bad team plays badly and loses. We generally play fairly badly and draw.

Our wins, when they do appear, always seem to be 'ground out'. We never put anyone 'to the sword' do we?
All teams win ugly sometimes (look at Arsenal yesterday) but we don't seem able to win in any other way. That's the difference.

But it is depressing though...
I've supported Stoke through thick and thin for 50 years, and even in much leaner times enjoyed it so much more than now.
It's got nothing to do with being in the Championship, as I am loving the far more competitive nature of this league, it's the fact that we are nowhere near where we should be with our current crop of players, and that is almost certainly down to the manager's negative approach to games.
We've got a squad that the rest of the league must be envious of, a local owner with the means to further strengthen and to offer top wage deals to incoming players and coaching staff alike, and yet we are being hamstrung by our manager's approach to the game and it's almost a certainty that we're stuck with him for at least this season.
Even if we do manage promotion, the prospect of more of this dirge in the Premier League fills me with dread...under Pulis there was that magnificent siege mentality throughout the club over the first couple of years after promotion, under Rowett it would likely be more of a whimper.
The complete lack of joy I'm feeling right now is almost entirely down to the lack of bollocks being shown on the pitch...the players have got the ability to not only win, but to win well and often, and we have the right to expect more than 1 or 2 shots on target every game...
Folk wait all week in anticipation of the matchday experience, and almost every week under this present incumbent, it turns out to be yet another damp squib...just fucking go for it Rowett, FFS!

Rowett needs to find that balance of flair and steel just like pulis did when we had Pennant, Etherington on the wings with Jones and Fuller upfront. Yesterday was unbelievably mind numbing and boring to watch despite the win.
