Good when he gets a chance to get behind the defence. Shite at holding the ball up.

He was shocking today. Berahino was excellent. I’m beginning to think Diouf might be a better option. Diouf would have kept going when off balance in the penalty area, Adobe just stopped Diouf would have been offside or would have fallen over

I just hope somebody in the top office is scanning that pre contract agreement to see if they can find any "get out clause"......put as for people saying give Diouf a go .....have you been hiding in a hedge for 3 years??? At least Afobe scores tap ins!! When Etebo is back it would be Clucas out left and Bera down the middle for me!!

He can offer more in defence and out wide If he was clinical at taking more chances he would be at a better club Our stronger midfield may anticipate his runs and time passes that keep him onside I agree we need to play to Adobes strengths but we need to have and to use other options

The way we're using him, you do wonder if Diouf would actually be any worse?
At least he gives 100%
I bet the thought of handing over that £12m in 3 weeks time will be going down very well in 365 Towers!

Isn't he our highest scorer in the PL in a single season? Despite missing a third of the season through injury and ACoN?

He was awful today against a terrible team that will get relegated. No shots no headers no movement and no work rate. Fair play to Berahino he never stopped working. I actually thought all round it was a terrible performance against an awful team Way too few runs into good positions, not able to hold the ball up and I didn't see him win one header during the whole game. He is a decent finisher, but he is very far from being a lone striker. As our squad is now I want to see Berahino in that position as he can keep the ball up and seems more willing to run into pockets of space as well.

He's a good finisher when he gets service, but this formation doesn't suit him. Allen tried to get it to him once today but their keeper read it.

Terrible player... To think all the millions we've spent.. A 57 year old crouch is the best option..!

His control is absolutely diabolical, can't trap a ball to save his life.

To be honest, it ws one of the most scrappy games i have seen yesterday. Not sure anyone looked good. He scores goals and will score goals. So just having him is useful.

It is if he gets service, which he doesn’t. He isn’t a lone striker and he doesn’t do much beyond poaching, which is rendering him fairly pointless when your lone striker needs to be able to put himself about a bit.

Can't believe people are actually suggesting Diouf as the answer, are you seriously forgetting how utterly dreadful he is?? The most clumsy player we've had for years, makes Souleymane Oulare look agile.

It's yet another striker in the long list of strikers we've bought that just don't fit the system we play.
The perfect type of forward for our system is a Sam Vokes or a Chris Wood type. Big blokes that can play with their back to goal, hold the ball up and can finish when they get the chances. Afobe needs someone near him, which is frustrating as we have a couple of forwards that I think could work with him.
Diouf could play with him, although that would make things awkward elsewhere in the side. Berahino and Bojan could play just off him.

At least he gives 100% I bet the thought of handing over that £12m in 3 weeks time will be going down very well in 365 Towers! Diouf would certainly win more headers and will also be a bigger threat from set pieces, but Diouf is certainly a worse finisher than Afobe when one on one with the goalkeeper. Still I think the £12.5M we are going to pay for Afobe is way too steep. That is a PL fee for a mediocre player in my opinion, at least as he is played as a lone striker. In a 442 system I think Afobe could be a totally different player, but he will need a target man alongside him as I see it.

Adope cant control a ball! Cant trap it, doesnt seem to be able to hold up the ball and lay it off, which I think is vital if you are just the one up top! Gets caught offside even more than Diouff (well it feels like that!)
Adope by name and nature!
(and I still keep hoping that he proves all us doubters wrong but I really cant see it happening)
