Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. First thing Scholes should have done yesterday is phone Smurf to tell him our stance and what we're going to help do about it. As ever, we plod along and pretend nothing's happened.

I wouldn't be paying a penny in all honesty. Vale have done this to us before. As well as teams such as United, Brum and West Ham who have ripped seats out etc. Did we go asking them to fork out.
Vale Park should have insurance which covers the damage so let them handle it. Things happen in football- god or bad. Did anyone have a whip round for us when the roof blew off the ground?

Who knows if other clubs pay for damage that their supporters cause to other grounds. This wasn’t just ripping up a few seats though was it? The morons who did this shame our club, and it will be the rest of us that suffer the consequences of ticket restrictions, unsocial kick off times, closed pubs, and dickheads from other clubs wanting to fight us wherever we go. Of course our mega rich club (by comparison to the Vale) and mega rich owners should have shown some class here and been straight on to Smurfwaite sorting it out. We should not take our lead from the lowest standards, the lowest common denominator as you seem to be suggesting but the highest. Maybe your lowest common denominator attitude is so common that it’s the reason that shit like this happens in the first place! BM

In matters like this it's better to be proactive and at least show a semblance of remorse from our super-rich owners, and that as a football club we do take some responsiblilty for the dross who follow our club. Our owners have so much wealth that it would be a drop in the ocean, and probably tax deductable if they have a decent accountant. I don't care that Port Vale or other clubs may not have contributed to damage caused by their fans but I do care that our football club will not follow the LCD and not give a shit. OS.

We kept it quiet when they did it at the Brit. I can’t even remember it - i checked my scrap book. Norman can put a claim in if its true.

To his insurance - that is spot on Waggy, unless of course the fat cuntroller hasnt got insurance, in which case i hope the doghole burns down next he will be covered unless the police class it as a riot, which of course they wont as they will be liable for allowing a riot then
