Bit weird how the "M69 derby" is in there but no Nottingham, Bristol or.. err Derby Also no Norwich-Ipswich, no northeast derby (which would be fifth in that list), no Wolves-Baggies....

I'm amazed its as many as that.
I thought we spent most of our history between the top flight and whatever the division below that has been called while the Vale have been aimlessly washing around between the 3rd and 4th flights of English football.
But clearly not.

Should it not be derby rather than Derby?
I'm not sure why one would capitalise it.

Wouldn’t our Staffordshire derby against West Brom be the most played. It was, after all, the first football league match ever played in the world and we have been in the same division for many seasons.

186 equates to more than once a season. Take out the 53 competitive games that’s playing them almost every season in a friendly. Well I’ve been following Stoke for 55 years and can’t recall even one.

Per Wikipedia: Though the two clubs have been main rivals since as early as the 1880s, they have supported each other in times of need. Before regaining their Football League status in the early 20th century, the two clubs had a pact that meant Vale would not bid for membership, leaving Stoke more likely to succeed in their bid; Stoke would then support Vale in any future bids they made.[7] During times of deep financial crisis at the Vale, Stoke played fund-raising matches with the Vale in order to try and prevent their rivals from going into liquidation.[7] In turn, Vale allowed Stoke to play a home game at Vale Park when a freak gale in January 1976 caused severe damage to the Victoria Ground.[7]

It's bad enough people include friendlies in these stas, but to see people are now saying that bloody U21s games count as well is plain embarrassing.
Why not lump in Women's games and see if we can add a few to the list by including U11s at schools that have played against Burslem schools as well?

It used to be an annual fixture, I can remember a few in the 80’s, always at Vale Park. They stopped having them once both teams were either in or around the same division and the rivalry intensified.
