When the police finally let us go last night. The first wave of Stoke supporters had to scramble over a large dry-stone!!! Why?? Quite a few of our older supporters found it so difficult to get over, including myself? If an exit was open nobody around me could see it.

There was an exit but once an impatient few stated scaling the wall inevitably many others followed, I just waited and walked through the exit.

The little detour they sent us on was annoying. I was parked a five minute walk from Hammil Road which turned into a half hour walk back including a detour through Burslem town centre, which I’d purposely tried to avoid by parking where I did in the first place.

Thought the police did an excellent job on the night. The only thing they did what I didn’t agree with is coming into the away end which inevitably created violence. They should have stood off let them keep chucking stuff at eachother and then arrest and ban them afterwards using CCTV.. Although the chucking things is far from perfect there was no physical violence until they came into the away end.

They really don’t help these situations do they.
The Fail Fans in the paddock should of been put as far away as possible from the stoke end. The pathetic netting lasted 5 mins so then they were literally next to the stoke fans.
Let the baiting begin,
Mental

Every Local Derby has the potential for chaos so let’s get in the real world here and I mean in whole world.
Policing was decent but that particular end for vale fans should of been netted off with line of police one side and a line of stewards the other and half of that nonsense during the game wouldn’t of happened.

Every Local Derby has the potential for chaos so let’s get in the real world here and I mean in whole world. Policing was decent but that particular end for vale fans should of been netted off with line of police one side and a line of stewards the other and half of that nonsense during the game wouldn’t of happened. I think the problem was that when the Vale fans rolled up the netting, there wasn't the heavy police presence inside that subsequently materialized about 10 mins before kick off, presumably because they were dealing with problems outside. As I remember, there were only a few stewards stood there then, and by the time they realized what was happening, the Vale fans had already packed into the end and couldn't be shifted. Unfortunately, that then placed both sides within tempting missile range of one another. I'm not excusing anything but I agree that it was entirely forseeable. I still think the concourse trashing would have gone on no matter what.

On another note did anyone see the bald foreign steward in the concourse? We tried get in as the team came out and the stairs were rammed and people couldn’t get through, I asked him where you you expect us go and he nodded and said yes!! Fucking ridiculous

Did they honestly think a ground had been designed in that way? I'm just glad I took my flippers and snorkel to get across the moat...
