26 now. Hands down the worst goalkeeper I’ve ever seen- and that’s not just for Stoke. Why are we still employing him?

Not good enough for us but the worst ever anywhere, really!! He’s not good enough for our under 21s mate - despite being in his prime. How is it possible to be worse than him? He has literally made a mistake in every performance he’s made fo us

Never understood the reason he got a new contract in the first place, based on what we'd seen of him previously. Just plain daft but typical of some of the stupid decisions being made by the club in the last couple of years.

He was an over age player tonight then.
Was he accountable for 1 or more of the goals ? No mention of that on the match report of the official site.
I seem to remember he was a personal recommendation of Danish compatriot Thomas Sørensen.
Thomas must have been on the Gammel Dansk !

Strange profession being a keeper. Being a 3rd or 4th string you are probably worse than a league 2 keeper yet have a nice Porsche and big house.
Remember Stuart Taylor I think was at Arsenal , question if played 50 games in his entire career .
Haugard is stealing a living is what I'm getting at , don't understand why he was selected anyway. What have they learnt from that ? Is he likely to be on the bench ahead of Federici , no chance.
So what exactly was the thinking ? Bet he's got a fit wife too

Shouldn’t be the major concern, all I saw was a complete replay of how the first team play , not just of stoke but of many sides, there’s is absolutely a lack of players that can either will or can impose themselves on a game , so it’s revert to what’s fashionable🤷♂️

I raised it a few months back and kept giving examples of goalkeepers I thought made a living from doing nothing and I got completely destroyed. I still agree with that point though. Many, many goalkeepers make a fantastic living out of doing nothing. Outfield players have a chance to come on even if they’re not playing or go out on loan somewhere. Goalkeepers can do this but clubs need to have at least 2 keepers at the club in case the first choice gets injured. How they keep fit, psych themselves up and remain involved is quite interesting I think. Knowing you’re not quite ‘good enough’ but still earning a better living than most people, I just think it must be strange. Haugaard is catastrophically bad yet you assume he’s still on at least, what, 2K a week?

what we'd seen of him previously. Just plain daft You're forgetting the form he showed in the preseason before he made his debut. He looked good then. Since it hasn't been as rosy, but some players, keepers especially, don't reach their zenith until later in their careers.

He's got to have some significant dirt on some pretty powerful people. There's no way he's a professional goalkeeper.

On the plus side, he’s absolute dynamite pre-match centring for Federici to practice high ball catching.

Saw him in a supermarket the day after we got relegated. The woman on the checkout clearly thought she’d be able to impress me with her football knowledge and said, “Bet he’s disappointed today.”
I replied, “not as disappointed as me, and I should imagine his huge salary despite the fact he’s utterly shite makes him feel slightly better.”
We completed the rest of the transaction in awkward silence 😂
