I don't know what he's doing on the training pitch but what ever it is it isn't working.
Yes you could point to the 2 disallowed own goals but their goalie had literally nothing to do other than pick the ball out of the net twice during the whole game.
We just don't play with any urgency until we have too when there's 10 minuntes left and he randomly throws everyone on and hopes for the ball to bounce to someone.
He will not take us up. The best we can hope for is mid table. Lose v Derby and surely he has to go.
They ween't a good side but every time they had the ball in our half we looked vulnerable and the covering for both goals was non existent.
Thought Berahino played well and it was a promising start from Clucas but we are just so one paced and he has no idea what to do when the opposition sit back. Our great club is slowly getting dismantled. I think we can expect to be in the Championship for a long time because nothing will change.
Wont happen but in January we need at least 1 CB, a LB, creative midfielder and a wide striker but what's more important is a new manager who knows how to get the best out of players and who actually coaches set pieces.
Cant wait for his press conference. Bad luck doesn't watch you cant have that get out clause every week.

I'm unhappy with the starting XI today and the fact he refuses to play Bojan mostly.
Not unhappy enough for want him to leave just yet.
We started and ended poorly, but I don't think we're that far away from being a good team really. Just start our best player and we'd be improved hugely.

Agree with most of this, however not many of this team will be around next year for various reasons and we will be starting again on a much smaller budget.

I'm beginning to accept promotion is beyond this group of players and this manager....this season at least. We're a ship without a rudder and with a crew who look like they've never been to sea before

10 points off automatic promotion places and 6 points from relegation spots after spending what he has spent is shocking at this stage of the season. Derby is a very important game.

But when Bojan does come on he rarely makes a difference what's he supposed to do with 15 minutes here and there? I'm not saying he's been amazing, but he is certainly a cut above the other options we have in that area. Etebo, Allen, Woods & Clucas - not one of them is capable of linking the midfield up with the Striker in the way that Bojan can.

I would quite like to see Bojan given 10 games and I think we would have a better points haul than our last 10 games. We are a team of water carriers with quite big holes in our buckets.

His tactics are simply baffling....
Takes a left sided player off and puts a striker out on the left, and brings a striker on!!!
Then he takes off a right sided player and puts the striker he's just brought on out on the right, and brings another striker on???
But STILL doesn't go two up front!!!

I just don't think we have any direction. There's so much wrong with the way we setup. It's like we don't have a plan with the players playing like strangers.
We're totally one paced and play with no urgency other than when we go behind or we're looking to get a winner.
We rarely play a killer through ball and just don't have the creativity in midfield. The 3 today are all too similar as Is Etebo. All decent in there own right but only capable of making the simple pass. When that's the case we wont create much.
I'm not saying Bojan's the answer but we need a Bojan / Charlie Adam type player who will push us forward. If that means dropping one of Clucas, Allen, Etebo or Woods then so be it. Until that happens nothing will happen. I also don't think Ince does enough and is quite lazy.
4231 it has to be for me with Berahino up top.

The words panic and desperation spring to mind. He doesn't know what to do so he throws anyone on who's a forward without thinking who's going to supply them.

Thought Clucas was poor to be honest I thought we was poor and he could become good, but not thrown in at home coming off injury. He needs bit part inclusion going forward to get match ready.

I also don't think Ince does enough and is quite lazy. 4231 it has to be for me with Berahino up top. Exactly this. Every week Rowett picks three players to play in midfield who don't excel at anything. None of them are particularly skilled with the ball at their feet, none of them are creative in attack, none of them are monsters in defence, none of them have any real stand out abilities or athleticism. They're all too similar to each other and too "well-rounded" which is a kind way of saying not particularly skilled in any one area. We do not need more than two of Allen, Etebo, Woods and Clucas. With two of them we can afford to have a more skilful player playing further up, because at the moment there is no link from midfield to attack. The only option for the time being is Bojan, in January it can be someone else but fuck me it needs to change. We're not going anywhere with these current 3-man midfields.

Can anyone genuinely find me the last time we didn’t have a player in a make shift role in a key wide position? Bruno was atrocious today positionally. I’m not at the level where I want him to go, but the last 3 managers have shoehorned so many players into awkward positions and look what happens.

Since we were mullered by Brentford and got a draw in our first home game then made Wigwam look like Barcelona I have learnt a few things about this league. Tempo, directness, moving the ball with pace and a desire to attack are attributes you need to survive/ do well in THIS league. Have we really any of those attributes?

I gave him/Coats until the end of November. Sack him and try to get el Fatso. Or do we persevere with What we've got? Closer to relegation than promotion BUT, any decent run and...
Mediocrity is just not good enough...
SACK HIM NOW full stop ;-)

I've run out of patience. He looks totally incapable of turning things around. I'd go for the guy Fulham just sacked. At least he knows how to attack.

Mediocrity is just not good enough... SACK HIM NOW full stop ;-) They won’t sack him in a millions years, but the sheer scale of the task has been laid bare, Rowett doesn’t help himself, but I stand by what I said at the start of the season, key members of the squad are not fit for purpose and need to be slung, we have virtually an entire 11 out on loan or rotting in the reserves. The damage done between March 2016 to now has fractured the club, and we need a complete overhaul. (a real one this time)

The guy must have watched a different game than I did, if he can come out with statements like he just did on Radio Joke. " Not far off now". WHERE IN REALITY WE ARE FRIGGING MILES AWAY. We have no real quality on the pitch, no penetration and give teams far too much space. How many actual saves did their keeper have to make? For me, he is on the thinnest of thin ice.
