My lad who is the vegan (not smug about it) has his girlfriend staying atm, she's American and hardly eats, hardly touches salads or veg, but eats chicken, and only drinks water, took them out for a meal last night, he had a vegan pizza and she had a carbonara, and picked the finely chopped coriander off the top first, no starters or pudding either, what a cheap night apart from it was 2-4-1 cocktails and the daughter was with us, and the wife drove

On a separate note I was at Astbury Garden Centre yesterday and had a vegan burger off the new menu. Chickpea and jackfruit with sweet potato fries and a side salad. Absolutely delicious.

I'm not going to bang on about it, but that study is bollocks anyway. Notice that there has been an increase in media attacking vegans this last year?

I think what they're saying is that if you're more uptight, you're more likely to make a stroke.

Cottage pie with thick gravy, carrots, cauliflower and blue cabbage, proper delicious. Shame I didn't abandon the match and go for the dessert

My eldest went vegetarian for a while when he was a teenager, in the early days I mistakenly thought he'd just given up red meat π
As we were eating one night he said "Dad this burger really tastes like a proper chicken burger!" to which I replied "that's cos it is one".
He then went on "no, but it really tastes like chicken!" and despite my replies it seemingly wouldn't sink in until I said "son, it's fucking chicken!" π
He wasn't pleased but in my defence he had no problems skinning rabbits for fur, gutting fish etc so it seems it was a health, rather than moral thing.
