Spicy Halloween Ribs - Just accidentally found this very gory-looking recipe on Saino's www. It's horrible + really macabre, and so will doubtless appeal to certain EE-ers (you know who you are ), which is why I'm posting it. Get THIS - It includes a red pepper disguised as a heart & filled with red-coloured sauce which guests are to be encouraged to 'plunge their knives into to give them a shock when the blood spills out.' Don't know who thought this up, but it's 'orrible! recipes.sainsburys.co.uk/recipes/main-courses/spicy-halloween-ribs

On the other hand……. if anyone on here IS into Hallowe'en and has young kids, they'll LOVE these jelly worms - on a bed of crushed Oreo 'soil' - I must admit they look brilliant. You make up a jelly mix and add edible glitter to it, then pour it into drinking straws, leave to set and then just squeeze them out on to a bed of crushed-Oreo for soil - it's amazing, and looks dead easy on the video: Hallowe'en Creepy Crawlies ! House on haunted hill Netflix It's good but the original with Roddy McDowall is shorter and more frightening I'd also consider John Carpenter's The Fog - very scarry ! 😬 This shit me up as a kid! But then again so did this! 😀

Don't bin the pumpkins tomorrow - feed the wildlife…..Okay, folks, just in case anyone buys a pumpkin for decoration for tonight and then doesn't know what to do with it, I think it was on BBC Breakfast News yesterday that leftover fresh pumpkin should be put out in the garden for birds, hedgehogs, etc., to eat, rather than just throwing it in the bin. Otherwise - (even though I know this will only appeal to a few of the foodie folks on 'ere) - if you fancy a go at cooking it, here's quite a nice soup. It lists a 400g can of pumpkin puree (all supermkts sell it now), but to adapt this to using fresh pumpkin just roast wedges of pumpkin (tossed in oil) & then scrape out the flesh and mash it to a puree: Red Lentil & Pumpkin Soup www.preventionrd.com/2012/10/red-lentil-pumpkin-soup/The aforementioned foodies will know that you could add extra chilli if you like spicy food + you could add carrots, celery and even bacon - whatever of that ilk suits you - and that if any of the soup is left you can stick it in the freezer. As well as for Hallowe'en, it's the sort of thing that would be ideal for Bonfire Night.

This is bad, and slightly amusing in a sick kind of way. But mainly bad, so don’t get on my case. “ Police are investigating a claim youngsters were given ecstasy tablets while trick or treating.” What is more alarming is that a two year old and a five year old were out ‘trick or treating’, seemingly without any adult supervision. “ Amy Dixon said her children, aged two and five, came home with an envelope containing about 10 suspicious pills after collecting sweets in Shiremoor, North Tyneside, on Wednesday.” BBC Link

A 6 and a 7 year old like.

As ive said i quite like Halloween a good scary movie. The thought of gouls and full moons creepy laughs and all that.
I do have one gripe though. When you have friends on Facebook and come new school term you page is flooded with first day picture pose of the kids.
Its now happening at Halloween. Why is everyone all off a sudden going pumpkin picking and dumping there child on top of one then snapping lots of photos. No fuckers just bobing down the supermarket and picking one up anymore 😂
If you wanna make some cash buy a field and grow pumpkins clearly.
Its go to some farm and pick one after youve taken photos galore of your 2 year old trying desperately to hold onto the fucker thats twice the size of them as they sit on top of another one.

Should be banned along with valentines day, fathers day and mothers day. All of it is commercial garbage. Well, it's certainly become massive, massive business this last few years, Louis. Parents of young kids must get nagged to death and it must be very difficult for those of them who are already on a tight budget. Also it must be bloody awful living somewhere where you get masses of kids banging on the door every 5 mins and demanding 'Trick or Treat', etc., if you don't want to join in with it. Luckily we don't get any such callers at CM, but if we did I'd be tempted to say 'How about this for a treat' and let the lion out. Sorted!

I'll have to suggest to the running club a dress up run then on Thursday evening No you fool you don't want more clothes on them 'Ang on a minute, Fel - 'ang on........ Let's think about this - l like Northy's Fancy Dress idea - like it a LOT. Got a great one for you - you could wear all that Goth gear & make-up + thick black eyeliner that you often put on when you pop over to the 'Therapy-a-Go-Go' establishment. Yeaaaaaaahhhh….. 'The Joggin' Goth'..... Got a certain je-ne-sais quoi - - I can see a TV prog and a book in the offing…… Ker-chinggggggg!
