7000 there to watch them play Stoke reserves Only £3 to get in, but that is a hell of a turn out. Wow the attendance was 7644. That's more than we could manage for a league cup game against a premier league team! Impressive turnout

Sorry to be thick but are we basically out of this competition now having lost the penalty shoot out and failing to get the bonus point?
Also why is Kevin Russell beating himself off during his post-match interview of the Official SCFC site as though we'd pulled off some miracle getting a 0-0 draw here when in fact more than half of our starting line up have played Premier League for us and we were playing league 3 opposition?

We’re in a group of 4 with Sunderland , Morecambe and Carlisle , played on a league basis with the winners going through to the knockout stages. The invited teams ( Us. the Prem & championship academies, play all group games away). It’s 3 points for a win , 1 for a draw and 0 for a defeat ... if the game is drawn it goes to pens and the winner of that gets an extra point .. so we got 1 point Sunderland got 2 Final is played at Wembley .. it’s the old revamped Auto glass , Ive mixed views over Stoke’s ( and other invited clubs ) participation, but there’s plenty of things about the in football I don’t necessarily agree with ... For me it’s a rare chance / incentive / persuasion to watch the U21/23s Of all the games this season Carlisle probably the one that ‘may’ see a 100+ Stoke turnout .. given we last played there in 95 in a friendly and in the league in 85/86 7,000 there last night , helped in part by season tickets holders getting a priority point for away tickets etc) for buying a £3 ticket ( rumour iwas they sold 9,000) A good night , pity about the pens , but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that collectively the team should be proud of themselves for last nights performance and result

Sunderland's side have played many more games than the side we put out. Looks like Collins and Souttar formed a solid pairing.

Was basically a bunch of players of ours who most aren’t yet fully match fit against your reserves/promising youngsters. Was a decent match to be honest, was pleasantly surprised we scored all four penalties mind!

I don't recall hearing Pemberton's name before - looked pacy and purposeful on about 1:00
Two terrible pens from Campbell and Souttar, then two lovely ones from Sorensen and....? Who takes the pen on 10:00 mins?

One thing the video really does show is how dreadful Bauer is at defending; on every occasion he is shown in the video he does something which is dumb. I wasn't pleased with the loan signing of Cuco, but what with the start of the season and further evidence like this I'm trusting Rowetts judgement, especially with him having been a fans favourite.
