Scholes and Cartwright were never going to be the turkeys voting for christmas. And I don’t imagine John Coates is used to humble pie. You've summed it up there mate - terrifying really

True - but don’t you get the feeling he has been at best a little lax in our pre-season preparation. You should start at least having some concept of what your best team is and how they are going to perform. Instead everything appears to be a complete shock to him after every game. I’m convinced the starting eleven at Leeds was based entirely on reputation and not on how they were performing and the attitude they were showing. The bloke wasn’t appointed 5 mins before the season started. He did have a concept of what his best team was. It just so happened that his idea of his best side didn't materialise because of a bunch of lazy arsed footballers who believe they're too good for this division. It seems to me that he has realised this now that the real football has kicked in and he's trying his best to change things as much as he can. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely not helping himself with the continued inclusion of Fletcher but I still believe that Gary Rowett has the ability to turn us around but it will take time. He should have established who was up for it before a ball was kicked at Elland Road. As I say he chose it on reputation not reality. I like what he says and hope he succeeds but I’m disappointed with both what I’ve seen on the park (obviously) and the recruitment he has undertaken (not very imaginative).

Pulis is good at what he does, but it’s fucking boring to watch!...As for Rowett, i’ll give him until the end of Oct before I decide if he needs fucking off or not. Forget Pulis and move on. He'd never come back nor be asked so let's,not deviate too far from my original (nostalgic) point that Boro reminded me of how we used to be back in the day - organised, hard to beat, motivated and never say die atttude...... Last point from me - it wasn't always boring - got,a bit stale, towards, the end for sure but my god we had some amazing times surviving and exceeding expectations against the odds those first few seasons .........it's strange how we forget (and I had until these past few weeks when the relegation penny has well and truly dropped) I haven’t forgot how fucking bored I was sitting in my red seat....But Lambert was a disaster and Rowett seems clueless....The first 3 years under Hughes, that’s the football I want to watch, but we’re a million miles away from that now... Very sad!

The default Stoke City fan position - when things aren't going well bleat like little girls for Toxic Tony. Fuck Pulis and fuck Pulis Lite. There is a whole world of managers out there who could do a job. Ok, who's your pick of experienced managers who would seriously consider coming here?

What was our record when Tony first arrived? Pretty poor I think, wasn’t his first game a defeat at Walsall or have I imagined that? I definitely remember the 6-0 defeat at Forrest and losing at home to Grimsby early on in his reign.

Of course we should be bringing him back. It should be the easiest decision the board have ever made. Its to late now stop worrying about. He won't leave a team that are going to piss the league with games in hand.

Pulis did a great job getting us where he did and giving the club a fantastic platform to build and push on. Sadly it's the halfwits that are running the club that failed to deliver the next level. I don't want a return to the past but it angers me to think what little respect this board and the players currently have for the fans, many of whom scrimp and save all year for a season ticket which our pampered, big ego so called "stars" could buy with half a day's wage...all to watch the biggest crock of shit we've had to endure for years. It needs sorting...and sorting quickly. Our board of directors need to show the ambition to make it happen before it's too late

Yes but we hadn't just come off the back of a fucking decade in the "best league in the world" having trousered the thick end of a BILLION fucking quid of TV money...... FFS No comparison

Best manager since Waddington. He was the man we should have gone for prior to Lambert. We’d still be in the prem now.

I was neither PHW or a rimmer but knew he had to go when he did as we had gotten stale and he seemed to have run out of ideas and whilst Hughes wasn't my choice I couldn't argue with 3 x top ten finishes on the bounce.
That said, some of the bitter and twisted unbridled hatred for TP on here beggars belief - promotion, FA cup, final and Euro knock outs and some amazing scalps,in the Prem seem to have been soon forgotton - what a bunch of selective memory bigots we seem to have.
Very sad....

. There is a whole world of managers out there who could do a job. That statement is quite reassuring because at least we will be able to get someone in, should Rowett not be able to turn it round in the coming weeks. 😎

Boro under Pulis look an excellent bet for play-offs at least.

I wouldn’t want him back, and pretty sure he wouldn’t want to come back.
Good times, bad times. Football is ultimately for enjoyment and he sucked the life out of it for me, he has done everywhere he has been. A successful manager no doubt and one of our best ever, but I don’t miss him.

Don't miss him but miss the fight, fortitude and spirit he used to instill in the players most of the time - and I miss Prem football more than i thought I would in my arrogance thinking coming back up would be a breeze......

Everyone knows we shouldn't have got rid of Pulis.
It's just stupid fans with hate in their hearts.
If we had Ronaldo at his best & he played few shite games on trot the fans would slag him off, even though he'd already banged in 40 goals a season for us.
Players, teams & mamangers cant keep it up for ever you know. It's a mixture of some around them just getting a bit older, not bothering etc. You don't sack the fucking manager because a few stars aren't pulling their weight!
Possession tonight. Who's bloody cares WBA had the balll more. It about scoring & winning, not passing it between back 4 & midfield for half an hour. That is called boring & pointless.
Oh yeah Ryan Shotton was fantastic tonight. He stayed in & on the game for the whole 90 minutes & could have played another half hour.

11 points ahead of us and the season has hardly begun. We may as well kiss their arse goodbye here and now Just you wait until they get to 40 points and take their foot of the gas

We really have to find another route than going back to "same old" Tony Pulis. There are many good managers out there and Rowett just might be a one of them given more time.
And things will look very different after we beat Hull on Saturday!
