Butland who hasnt said a bad word about the club and wears his heart on his sleeve and its him you pick out from that lot ? What about him sums up everything you dont like, im at a loss ? He should be the captain of this shower of piss as hes the only one that seemingly gives a shit. He was all over social media last season slagging off the fans and the stories in the press aren’t made up in never never land are they? He’s clever about it, I like that tbh. We needed to sell him and get him out. Same for Allen. Some fans deserved to be slagged off and your at the top of that list. And the press make up stories, never heard that before and even if they havent do you expect that at the top of players ambitions is to play for Stoke ? Thats football now if its loyalty you want from players your watching the wrong sport loyalty in football died the day Sky Sports made it a millionaires playground, football is no different than any other profession in that you go where your offered the most and do the least amount. It does not matter if you earn minimum wage or 70k a week someone comes along and offers you more you go its that simple and in the case of Arnie time has proven him right about the state of the club and i wouldnt blame a top quality GK for wanting out of this shit either especially when there are idiots like you ranting about him when he is the very least of our problems.

The good old days as I like to call them. We’ve sleepwalked into this and one thing I love about our fans is the fight. But it’s gone. We have allowed this to happen. We might not have been able to stop it but we didn’t even challenge it. Out of interest, what did you do? Well I tried to get Hughes out chants started at the start of last season. I’ve tried to get Lambert out chants started and Scholes out at the end of last season. I can’t do much can I? Because heck then you’d actually have to open your eyes and listen.

You're also one of 'our' fans. I am and I’ve always looked at stuff from a different angle. I don’t get this whole you’re not a supporter if you’re criticising bollocks. The club need to be held accountable by its fans and we have failed. Nobody has said that criticism isn't allowed. That's the only thing you do though and it gets tiring.

We have had a decade in the sun, and now it’s back to normal because when all is said and done we are a small fry football club. And that is the shit attitude right there. Why accept that?

I wouldn’t worry too much about that youth, come the end of the season there will only be 12,000 of us left anyway The good old days as I like to call them. We’ve sleepwalked into this and one thing I love about our fans is the fight. But it’s gone. We have allowed this to happen. We might not have been able to stop it but we didn’t even challenge it. Totally agree and have done for ages. We’ve become such a passive fan base I barely recognise us as stoke fans anymore. 15-20 years ago there’d have been protests on matchdays dating probably 18 months ago. Instead we went down with a whimper. That would’ve never have happened before we went up to the prem.

And that is the shit attitude right there. Why accept that? What are you going to do to change it? You can’t do fuck all about it and neither can the rest of us. With all due respect as I'm sure you've supported Stoke for a long time, you're talking nonsense. We're a "small fry football club" because we didn't take advantage of our time in the Premier League and the money that came with it by building a proper foundation for the future. We've done fuck all with the academy, we never established a proper recruitment strategy and worst of all we didn't focus on a way of playing football that could be continued through different managers and players. Instead we had two long-term managers who relied heavily on already-established players fitted into systems that were so rigid and inflexible that as soon as they were worked out we were completely fucked. Are Brentford a "small fry football club"? Are Bournemouth? Are Watford? Are Leicester? Are Palace? Are Brighton? Are Huddersfield? Are Burnley? Are Swansea? Are West Brom? All of those listed are far, far superior than us in terms of their infrastructure and medium to long-term recruitment, retention and tactical strategies. All of those clubs have made mistakes but all of them are in a much better state than ours and we've just spent a decade at the top level with plenty of time to build a coherent organisation. We shouldn't put up with it and the fact you feel powerless is indicative of how clubs like Stoke can get away with this shit in the first place. Football has moved on and we are showing all the hallmarks of a club still tied to our bumbling 90s past.

And tbh we’ve spent more seasons in the top flight than the other leagues. So why the hell shouldn’t we be aiming for that? Gross mismanagement has caused this, it shouldn’t have happened and heads need to roll.

Pieters gets a bad press, there were much worse than him on the pitch today.... Again!!! He was shocking, he couldn't even clear a simple ball up field.

We're in trouble. Played off the park in three out of four games. Mentally we looked fucked. Saturday is now a big game. I know it's only August and way too early to be making predictions but we need a win quick. Fans were right to boo the team off tonight. Buck your fucking ideas up Stoke. They were and I'm not one for booing, I was quick to complain when people did it at the last home game, but today was fully deserved, to collapse so easily after going a goal down is inexcusable, there was next to no fight in the team after that, having a bad game I can understand but showing no desire to get back into the game is ridiculous, they should be embarrassed.

Butland said something to McClean on the way off at half time, McClean then ran after him a second later. They both disappeared into the tunnel so don't know what happened then. Also to the people slagging off Butland about fake tears and too big for his boots etc, do you know there was no bids? You realise he has had a wage drop and unlike Bauer and Allen he hasn't had a new contract to keep him here. I don't blame Butland for having a go at the players for not clapping the fans who had to watch that crap. He has fans on his back a lot but shows gratitude back. I noticed Erik dropped his clapping lap of the pitch, he should have done one with his hands up apologising!

I'm not sure what level of reality I'm meant to be operating on here, but I'll give it a go. On Saturday there'll be about 24,000 fans at the stadium for the game against Hull. What has that got to do with anything I said?
