Hellu!
I do see a film now and then, and almost always I see it as a waste of time! But since I've offered 45 mins or so of my time, I might as well see it to the end. If the points on scale is 1-5, where 5 means an excellent movie and 1 means a terrible movie, I must say 90% of them are a 1 unfortunately.
"Four weddings and a funeral"
and the one I see right now ...
"Mr. Brooks"
: absolutely dreadful movies.
Of all the, let's say ... 2000 films, I've seen in my life - only 10 have been excellent (5).

I watch a movie most nights as I have to stay up alone 'till 2am. I have a collection of about 500 or so.
Last night I watched Porkey's and couldn't help noticing how (un PC it was) funny as f**k though. I suppose you just have to make allowances for when films were made otherwise most would be burned in a new book burning night.
Predator tonight where the Alien is racially abused by Arni =)

Ok, but how large amount of the films you've seen were "excellent movies"(5)?
For me, 10 out of 2000 = 0.5%.
😁

I’ve got a dreadful film for you. It’s called ireversable & it’s French. Someone told me it was a disturbing film that he wished he’d never watched. So I watched it & thought the same...

You heart is in the wrong place, it isn't the best film but it made me and everyone watching cry Everyone but me😀 And me. However I took my kids the cinema watch walle years ago and at the end as my lad was snuggling at the goings on and pulling me saying was it going be ok I did get a bit emotional. To be honest it’s only Disney what get to me, I can’t watch the fix and the hound to this day as I used to blub like a leaking tap watching it as a kid. On a side not a tear did roll at the end of saving private Ryan when he was asking if he had led a going life

I've recently come to the conclusion that I just don't 'get' most films. Most I watch are shite.
I can spend a half-hour searching Netflix, find nothing the looks remotely decent, and then turn off 😥

Anything with Nicolas Cage in it. There's no actual way you can say The Rock is dreadful! It's a brilliant action movie!

I came on the thread specifically to post this. It was so hyped up upon its release, and smashed all kinds of box office records that I was looking forward to it when I saw they were putting it on telly. I pride myself on giving things a chance but I couldn't stand it and turned it off after the hour mark. I've tried twice more since then and still haven't finished it. It's just so indescribably boring. It's not a bad film in terms of its premise, acting, direction, aesthetic etc, it's just as boring a piece of film as I can imagine.

Jaws 4: The Revenge. It’s so bad, it’s funny. 1 there's no effort made during the editing process to hide the shots where you can see the underside of the shark and all the workings, how the fuck would competent filmmakers allow that??! People knock the shark in the first two films but it works for me at least, there's nothing like this level of incompetence on show. Jaws 2 was a solid if perhaps unnecessary film. Jaws 3 was pretty lame but it's a masterpiece compared to what followed in 1987. Would love to have seen the faces of the studio execs at first screening. It's an act of kindness to give it a 1 out of 10!!
