Excellent player,(No 19) head and shoulders above the rest. Brentford were excellent, everything were not, movement, movement off the ball , energetic. We got the wrong manager and I would swap him for the Brenford manager in a heartbeat. We were shocking and clueless.

Thought the whole Brentford side switched off after fifteen minutes and switch back on again until the hour. Very odd performance.

He was aggressive, good on the ball and broke the lines - someone who would make a huge difference to our side.

Watkins was better, but should have bought both.
Edit - although I did think Ince was good too

I've been banging on about Sawyers and Watkins all damned summer.......
The Pizza boys want to sign Premier League reserves ahead of those who are doing it week in, week out at this level. I am not sure why.

Him and their number 6 made us look right cunts.
#19 in particular was everything I would've wanted in our squad today.

Brentford as a team were head and shoulders above is today. They will have walked away thinking how have we only got a point from that. Fair play to them, without singling our players sawyers and Watkins were a level above anything we had. But there all round game was ligh years ahead of us.
Worrying times

Woods didn't play today but Sawyers really was a class act. I was also impressed with their striker Maupay. The no.10 was McEachran who I remember as a bright prospect at Chelsea a few years ago. The number 29 wasn't bad either.

The lad was actually a joy to watch

Sawyers ran the game. Head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch. Always available to receive the ball, played it simple, fast, strong and with a bit of a nasty streak as well.
Exactly what we want. Exactly what we won't get.

Couldn’t agree more with the OP. Brentford’s midfield was better than ours overall but I thought this guy ran the show. Pace, energy, tackling as well as excellent quick, short passing and bringing the ball out with him. MOTM by a mile for me.

We got the wrong manager and I would swap him for the Brenford manager in a heartbeat. We were shocking and clueless. Presumably if he lost a couple of games, you'd be wanting his head too? Of course, it's easy to suggest that someone else would have done better as you will never be able to prove it or not. Whoever we brought in as manager would have had to work with the majority of players already here (no owner is going to replace more than five or six at one go; he will have to change their 10 years old Prem mindset (not easy overnight); the replacements he brings in will need time to integrate etc etc etc. Football manager and the attitude it breeds has a lot for which to answer

when we fuck Ndiaye off and imbula why not go in for Watkins and sawyers players who are hungry with pace and want to win. not players who think they are to good. surley coates could make Brentford a offer they cannot refuse. we have had enough of greedy mercenary players at our club
