Diouf is no better than berahino

So the Clan is the Man.........
It sounds like he has made it clear to the team that last weekend's lethargy cannot be repeated. I expect a far more committed and high energy showing tomorrow. It also sounds like Saido will be on the bench, at least.

If he's saying Berahino is likely to be in the squad does that mean Benik is going to be out injured? because I don't see him getting on the bench ahead of Crouch and Diouf.

Maybe maybe not however Diouf covers the wide positions as well hence he was on the bench not Berahino.

Does anyone have any idea what's one on with berahino? Its extremely weird the whole situation. GR: I won't go into the details why Saido wasn't in the squad last week, but there is a very good chance that he will be in the 18 this week. It was no fault of his that he wasn't involved last week. He is training really well. If he was injured or had a knock he’d say so surely, it was his birthday on the sat, prob got pissed up

I like his reality checks to our players with high opinions of themselves that no one has actually come in for them yet. Doubt it’ll register with them though
“We are six or seven weeks in now and we still have players here who will maybe move on. I don't deal with getting players out, I leave that to other people. it suggests that there aren't a lot of options available for the players to move at the moment. #scfc”

But if some don't move (and we know who they are) he's now nailed his colours to the mast and raises the chances they'll be stinking the place out with their attitudes. Or worse still on 5talksportLive.

You'd hope we would want to start on the front foot and play in a more attacking manner, providing far more support to the lone forward, getting the crowd on side. In that case, Bojan starting would make perfect sense.

GR talks a good game , but that counts for nothing
We have to play with real menace and endeavor v Brentford, or GR will lose the fans

Shock can do strange things to people and can be dangerous. Hopefully they have got over the shock and will give us all a shock!

Yep, the first thing to do with Mr. Berahino is to make sure he shows up on the right day, at the right place. Once that's done, the second to do is to ensure he remembered to bring his kit. Then you have to show him where the goal is. Then give him little push out onto the pitch. Once you've done all that, and he's in a good mood, then, wow, them runs, something to tell the grandkids.

"I'm pleased with what we've done, but I don't think that will end with 3 weeks of the loan window left"
"If you look at the deals done yesterday, there was nowhere near the same amount of business done as usual because everyone knows it's not really a deadline day"
"You can still do loans, loans with an obligation to buy and loans with a permanent deal attached to it, so while ultimately there's half an eye on strengthening the group if deals becomes available, as it did with Sam....I've been pretty pleased.
"We want to do more, I'd like to do more and I think we need to do more"

It seems like Rowett and co are having one last bang of the drum with Berahino as Hughes tried with Palacios to no avail. If he can get a goal after coming off the bench later in a game at an early point in the season it could all change for him and then it could not either. Either way there's no harm in trying. If Rowett does get a tune out of him it will be a feather in his cap and save us a few quid at the same time.
